1^*3 SUMMARY In potential fields, structure parameters can be determined by directly using structure anomalies which have a two-dimensional distribution. To achieve this irere than one equations, containing the same structure parameters are obtained and thW they are solved. The properties of analytical functions with complex gradient and Hubert Transform methods are used to obtain more than one equations. In this study, the parameters of certain structures (horizontal cylinder, dike, vertical fault, horizontal sheet, inclined sheet etc.) were directly obtained from the anomaly by using Hilbert Transform in gravity, magnetic and self potential methods. The Hilbert tarnsform was used to provide the conversion between the complex gradients of the anomaly. Structure parameters were determined from the solution of the equations (anomaly, complex gradients of anomaly, amplitude and phase functions) obtained. Hilbert transform was carried out in two different ways by using Fourier Transform and convolution methods. The study was carried out according to the following 1. The solution equations of structure parameters were obtained by solving theoritically formed anomalies and complex gradients of the anomalies. 2. By assigning numeral values to the same anomalies, the complex gradients were formed by applyingdiscrete Hilbert Transform. Then structures parameters were reobtained by using parameter solution equations obtained in the procedure number 1 above. 3. The structure parameters which were obtained using Hilbert Transform and theoretical parameters were compared in order to investigate their agreement. In conclusion it was observed that the theoretical parameters obtained through the solution of the complex gardients of the anomaly (obtained with the use of Hilbert Transform) were in agreement with each other. A gravity profile of the Black Sea Region and four natural potential profiles of a geothermal area in Seferihisar-Izmir and Kusadasi-Izmir were interpreted by using Hilbert transform.
