Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışma genelde uzman sistemler, özelde istatistiksel uzman sistemler konusunda bir kaynak taraması niteliğindedir. Bu nedenle, öncelikle uzman sistem kavramının, yapay us tekniklerinin ve bilgi mühendisliği araçlarının bir araya getirilmesi ile nasıl oluştuğu genişliğine açıklanmıştir.Uzman sistemlerin uygulandığı özel bir alan olarak istatistikte bu amaçla yapılan çalışmalarda karşılaşılan güçlükler ve sorunlar genişliğine tartışılmış ve bu tartışmalar özellikle 1980'li yıllarda gerçekleştirilen bazı istatistiksel uzman sistemler üzerinde yoğunlaştırılmıştır. Konuyla ilgili uygulama örneği olarak REGRES isimli bir program hazırlanarak tanıtılmıştır. Yapılan incelemelerde istatistiksel uzman sistemlerin temel sorununun, bu sistemlerin kullanıcıyı etkileme ve ondan etkilenme yapısının çok dikkatli bir şekilde belirlenmesi olduğu görülmüştür. Şu anada henüz başlangıç aşamasında olduğu kesin olan istatistiksel uzman sistemlerin gelecekteki muhtemel gelişme alanlarının başlıca üç yönde olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu yönlerden biri, istatistiğin bazı özel alanlarına hitabeden konularda uzman sistem geliştirmelerinin sürdürüleceğidir. Bu yönde sadece bir konu seçilmekte (örneğin regresyon) ve bu konu için uzmanlık hedeflenmektedir. Gelişmesi muhtemel ikinci yön genel amaçlı istatistiksel uzman sistemlerin geliştirilmesi olabilecektir. Son olarak belkide en pratik gelişme yönü mevcut istatistik paketlerin bir uzman sistem güdümü ile birlikte kullanılıp, istatistik uzmanlık talebi olan kullanıcılara sunulması olacaktir. 75.*...

SUMMARY This study has been conducted as a literature survey on the expert systems in general and specially on the systems evaluated for statistical purposes. For this reason, the artificial intellegince techniques and knowledge engineering tools were explained in detail first and later major problems of expert systems were considered. Being a special application area of the expert systems, statistical expert systems has its own properties and difficulties. These properties were discussed in great detail taking the examples of certain statistical expert systems developed mostly around 1980's. All these discussions have indicated that one of the most important problem of the statistical expert systems is to identify the interaction between the system and its user. This interaction has also been explained through examples. In order to give an example for application, program called REGRES has been prepared and explained. The use of statistical expert systems is very new at the literature. There are difficulties for these systems to be used extensively for practical purposeses. It is certain that the future developments will take these difficulties into account. It is expected that possible future developments in the studies on statistical expert systems could follow three different paths. One of these paths is the continuation of the development of special propose statistical expert systems. The second path is the combination of the existing well known statistical packages with the idea of expert systems in order to make these combinations to provide statistical expertise. The final and most important path is the possible development of general purpose statistical expert system. This system is regarded 76
