Özet

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ilköğretim 4. ve 5. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji Dersinde öğretmenlerin karşılaştığı sorunları belirlemektir.Sözü edilen amaç çerçevesinde var olan durumu tespit etmek için tarama modelinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ölçek iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde 11 sorudan oluşan kişisel bilgiler yer almaktadır. İkinci bölümde ise öğretmenlerin 4. ve 5. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde karşılaştıkları sorunları belirleme amacı taşıyan 57 madde bulunmaktadır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini test etmek için Cronbach Alpha katsayısı hesaplanmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonucunda güvenirlik katsayısı .91 olarak belirlenmiştir.Araştırmanın verileri 2007-2008 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde Denizli il merkezine bağlı ilköğretim okullarından toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olan ölçek formu 97 ilköğretim okulunda uygulanmış, toplam 368 ölçek değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ?SPSS 11,5? for Windows? paket programı kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizi, sınıf öğretmenlerinin Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde orta düzeyde sorun algıladıklarını göstermiştir. Zaman yetersizliği ve ders kitaplarının bilgi verme açısından sınırlı olması öğretmenler tarafından en çok vurgulanan sorunlar arasında yer almaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin 4. ve 5. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde karşılaştıkları sorunları algılama düzeyleri; cinsiyetlerine, okuttukları sınıflara, okulların öğretim şekline, hizmet içi eğitim alıp almadıklarına ve öğrenim durumları değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Ancak, öğretmenlerin sorun algıları ile görev yer ve sınıf mevcudu değişkeni arasında anlamlı düzeyde farklılıklar ortaya çıkmıştır. Denizli il merkezine bağlı ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler, merkez köyde görev yapan öğretmenlere oranla daha fazla sorun algılamaktadırlar. Ayrıca sınıf mevcudu arttıkça öğretmenlerin sorun algılama düzeyleri de artmaktadır.

The basic aim of this research is to find out the problems that the teachers of Science and Technology face in the 4 th and 5 th classes of primary schools.In the light of the aim mentioned above, to recognize the situation, the scanning method is used. The scale developed by the researcher consists of two parts. In the first part, there are 11 questions related with personal information. In the second part, there are 57 points which aims to find out the problems that the teachers of Science and Technology face in the 4 th and 5 th classes of primary schools. To test the reliability of the scale, Cronbach Alpha is used. In the end, the result of the reliability was .91.The data were collected from the central primary schools in Denizli during the autumn term of 2007-2008 education year. The scale form as the tool for collecting data was applied in 97 primary school and 368 scales were taken into evaluation in total. ?SPSS 11 for Windows? package program was used in the analysis of the research.As the consequence of analysis of data which was obtained at the end of research,it was concluded that primary school teachers have some problems in Science and technology lesson. The limited time and the inadequteness of the course books are among the problems told by the teachers. The level consciousness of the teachers with these problems do not change according to their level of classes, their gradution type or whether or not they have participated in any in-service training. However, the place they work or the number of the students affect the result. The teachers in the centre schools have more problems when compared with the teachers in center village schools. The more the number of the students in the class is, the more the problems faced are.
