Özet
ÖZET Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı laboratuvarında, 1983-1992 yıllan arasında incelenen 188 primer SSS tümörü içinde astrositik tümör tanısı almış 77 olgu, Daumas-Duport yöntemine göre yeniden derecelendirilip histolojik özellikleri gözden geçirildi. Olgularımızın 56'sı erkek, 21'i kadın olup, en sık 4. dekatta ve frontal lobda görülmektedir. Beyincik yerleşimli 9 olguda ortalama yaş 14 olup, bunların %44.4'ü kistik özelliktedir. Tüm olgular histolojik subtiplerine bakılmaksızın derecelendirildiğinde 77 olgunun 9*u (%11.7) derece I, 18*i (%23.4) derece II, 17*si (%22) derece III ve 33'ü (%42.9) derece IV olarak bulundu. Yeni yöntemle derece I'den 15, derece II' den 10 ve derece IU'den 17 olmak üzere toplam 42 olgunun üst derecelere çıktığı görülmüştür. Olgularımızın histopatolojik sınıflandırması sonucu en sık glioblastom multiform (%37.6) izlenmiş olup, nadir rastlanan tiplerden birer olgu ile subependimal dev hücreli astrositom, pleomorfik ksantoastrositom ve gliosarkom tesbit edilmiştir.

59 SUMMARY THE HISTOPATHOLOGICAL FEATURES AND GRADING OF ASTROCYTIC TUMORS In the Pathology Department of Atatürk University Medical Scholl, 77 cases of astrocytomas were diagnosed among 188 primary central nervous system tumors between the years 1983 and 1992. These cases were reexamined and graded according to Daumas-Duport. Our cases were located most frequently in the frontal lobe and 56 of all the cases were male. There was a peak of the fourth decade. Four of the nine cases that were located in the cerebellum had cystic features with a mean age of 14. Among ordinary astrocytomas, the grading system yielded this distrubition: 11.7% of grade 1, 23.4% of grade 11,22% of grade III and 42.9% of grade IV. With this new system 42 cases were found to possess higher grades and were classified accordingly. As a result of our findings glioblastoma multiforme was the most frequent astrocytomas, yielding a 37.6%. Unusual types of astrocytomas such as subependimal giant cell astrocytoma, pleomorfik xantoastrocytoma and gliosarcoma were also noticed.
