SUMMARY End-scrapers are one of the main stone tool assemblage in the Upper Paleolithic period. They were less common in the Lower and Middle Paleolithic, but they appeared in great numbers in the Upper Paleolithic and in this period they took a important place with in the all stone tool assemblages. In Anatolia, with the Paleolithic period researchs up to present time, end-scrapers are found very often in the cave deposits and also in the surface deposits. But, these samples are didn't study very well and their subgroups are not very ascertain and also their classifications are not enough. With the study as titled“End-scrapers in the Paleolithic and their samples from Anatolia”, there is general information about end-scrapers, studies up to our present time about“subgroup lists”and their classifications were given from the Europe and Middle East site samples. In addition, Anatolian end-scrapers samples, which they found from surrounding of Adiyaman, Antakya (Hatay) and Antalya, based on the samples in the subgroup lists were tried to classify and also which kind" of end-scrapers types were common in Anatolia was determined. In conclusion, with in the back-ground of earlier studies, Anatolian Paleolithic end-scraper samples were examined and their differences and similarities among regions were determined and also were made some general results. pokomamms»8 MOW»»
