Özet
Bu çalışma, ekonomik krizlerin, küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin (KOBİ) finansal, yönetsel ve örgütsel yapıları üzerine etkilerini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmaktadır. Ölçek farkı gözetmeksizin yaşanılan kriz süreci işletmelerin yaşamlarını tehdit etmektedir. Büyük ölçekli işletmeler krizler karşısında gerekli önlemleri bilinçli olarak alırken KOBİ niteliğindeki işletmelerin çoğunluğu bu bilinci henüz yakalayamamışlardır. KOBİ'ler, ekonomik büyüklükleri, istihdam oranı, değişimi etkileme gücü ve teknolojik gelişmelere uyum konusundaki rolleri nedeniyle ülke ekonomisinin önemli yapı taşlarından biri olarak kabul edilmektedirler. KOBİ'lerin etkin yönetimi ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlamaktadır.Bu çerçevede tez çalışmasında, yaşanılan krizlerin KOBİ'lere etkileri ve işletmelerin kriz yönetim faaliyetleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yaşanılan krizlerin ekonomik yönlü olması, var olan kriz yönetim çabalarının da ekonomik tabanlı olmasına neden olmaktadır.Bu çalışmada İskenderun Organize Sanayi Bölgesi içerisinde ve yakın çevresinde faaliyet gösteren altmışiki küçük ve orta ölçekli işletme seçilmiştir. İlk olarak sorumlu kişiler ile yüzyüze görüşme yapılmıştır. Daha sonra araştırma anketi işletme sahiplerine ve işletmenin üst kademe yöneticilerine uygulanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, çalışmanın teorik bölümlerini desteklemektedir.

The main aim of this research is to determine the effects of economic crises on the financial, administrative and organizational structure of Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs). Crises leave a permanent mark on national economy and businesses. Crises threat existence of businesses without distinction of size. While large size businesses take conscious precaution to crises, majority of small and medium size enterprises could not catch that kind of consciousness. SMEs are accepted an important part of national economy because of the roles (economic sizes, employment rate, the influence of change and adaptation of technologic development) of SMEs in market. The well-organized management of SMEs does not only provide a contribution to SMEs, but also provide an important contribution to general economy of the nation.In this context, the main aim of this research is to determine the impacts of economic crises to SMEs and the crisis management actions of businesses. According to findings of this research, the lived crises showed that most of the crises in our nation have an economic based, so that the current crisis management strategies of the businesses must have an economic based.In this research, 62 Small and Medium Size Enterprises were chosen which are working inside and near of the Iskenderun industrial zone. First, made a face to face interview with responsible person and then research survey applied the owner and top management level of SMEs. The findings supported the theoretical frame of the research.
