Özet

Bu tez çalısmasında; Adile Sadullah Mermerci Polis Meslek Yüksekokulu'nda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, basarısını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmeye çalısılmıs ve basarıyı etkileme oranlarının saptanması konu olarak ele alınmıstır. Arastırma verilerinin elde edilmesi için toplam yedi sorudan olusan veri toplama formu (anket) öğrencilere dağıtılmıstır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin not ortalamaları okul veri tabanından elde edilmistir. Öğrencilerin basarısını etkileyen en önemli faktörün öğrencinin cinsiyeti olduğu görülmüstür. Öğrencinin yasadıkları bölgenin de öğrencinin basarı ortalamasını etkileyen önemli faktörlerden biri olduğu ve öğrencinin basarısının yasadığı bölgeye göre farklılastığı açıkça görülmektedir. Öğrencinin ailesinin sahip olduğu gelir durumunun öğrencinin basarısını etkileyen faktörlerden biri olduğu saptanmıstır. Öğrencinin ailesinin eğitim durumu, öğrencinin mezun olduğu lise türü öğrencinin basarı ortalamasını etkilemekle birlikte, öğrencilerin basarı ortalamalarının birbirine yakın olduğu saptanmıstır. Öğrencinin evcilik durumu, öğrencinin basarısını etkilediği ve evci olmayan öğrencilerin basarı ortalamasının evci olan öğrencilerden daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmistir. Elde edilen veriler istatistiksel teknikler (ANOVA ve t-testi gibi) kullanılarak analiz edilip değerlendirilmistir. ?statistiksel analiz için SPSS programı kullanılmıstır.

This thesis attempts to determine the success factors of Adile Sadullah Mermerci Police Professional High School students. It also tries to find out the weight or importance of each factor on the students? overall success. Research data were gathered primarily from the school database. In addition, a questionarrie, which consists of seven questions, was filled by students. It was found out that the gender was one of the main factor in student success at ASM Police Professional High School. The hometown of the students and the income of their families were differentiators in student success too. The level of parents? education and the level of graduated High School were also effective factors in students? success, however, the Grade Point Averages (GPAs) of those students were closer to each other. The results suggest that the students who do not leave the school for the weekend perform better than those who leave the school for the weekend for their families. The gathered data were analyzed by using some statistical techniques, such as ANOVA and t-test. The SPPS software is utilized for the statistical analysis.
