Özet
Bu çalısmada 19.yy ikinci yarısı konut mimarisi özellikleri, Beyoglu bölgesi örneginde ele alınıp plan, cephe ve yapım sistemi özellikleri incelenmis, bozulma nedenleri ve sekilleri degerlendirilerek, koruma yaklasımı gelistirilmesi amaçlanmıs, bu amaç dogrultusunda yapılan onarım ve güçlendirme çalısmaları için günümüzde kullanılan yöntemler detaylandırılmıstır. Tez, dört bölümden olusturulmustur. 1. Bölümde; Beyoglu bölgesinin tarihsel gelisimi incelenmis, 19.yy öncesine kısaca deginilerek 19.yy daki durumu ele alınmıstır. Dönemin konut mimarisini olusturan sosyal yapı ile Beyoglu 19.yy konut mimarisinin plan - cephe özellikleri ve 19.yy da bu bölgede görülen mimari üsluplar detaylandırılarak, bu özellikler bölgede seçilen bir yapı adasında incelenmistir. 19.yy konut mimarisinin yapım sistemi özellikleri ele alınırken, yıgma kârgir yapıların tasıyıcı sistem elemanları ile, kullanılan yapı malzemeleri sınıflandırılmıs, seçilen yapıda, bu özellikler anlatılarak, yapının restitüsyon projesi eklenmistir. 2. Bölümde; Beyoglu bölgesi 19. yy. konut mimarisinin bozulma nedenleri ve bozulma sekilleri belirlenip koruma yöntemleri olusturmanın altyapısı hazırlanmıstır. 3. Bölümde; 19.yy konut mimarisi koruma yaklasımı, öncelikle koruma yöntemleri baslıgında ele alınıp, bu baslıklardan olan restorasyon yöntemleri incelenmistir. Restorasyon yöntemlerinin alt baslıklarında anlatılan onarım ve güçlendirme konusu, günümüz uygulamaları dogrultusunda sınıflandırılmıs, çizimler ve fotograflar ile detaylandırılmıstır. 4. Bölümde; 19.yy konut mimarisi koruma yaklasımı degerlendirilmistir.

In this work, characteristics of the residential architecture in 19th century is considered with the example of Beyoglu area plan, façade and costruction systems are analyzed, by evaluating the reasons of degradation and its types, development of the protection approach is targeted, and for the strengthening and repair work done with this objective, the systems used today are detailed. The thesis is formed of four parts. 1. In the first part the historical development of Beyoglu is analyzed and by shortly mentioning the period before 19th century, the condition in 19th century is considered. With the social structure forming the residential architecture of the period, plan, façade characteristics of Beyoglu 19th century residential architecture, and detailing of the architectural styles observed in the area in 19th century, these characteristics are analyzed in a structural island. When considering the 19th century residential architecture construction system, with the carrying system elements of the Stone buildings, and the construction material that were used are classified, these characteristics are explained in the building chosen and the reinstitution Project of the example building is also added. 2. In second part, the reason and types of degradation are determined and substructure of the formation of protection methods are prepared. 3. In the third part, protection approach to the 19th century residential architecture, is considered by initially taking the protection methods into consideration, and the restoration methods are analyzed. Repair and strengthening issues that are considered as the subtitles of methods of restoration, and classified directed to today?s implementations and are detailed with photographs and drawings. 4. In the fourth part, protection approach to the 19th century residential architecture was analyzed.
