Özet
ÖZET Marmara bölgesinde bulunan opus-sectile yer döşemelerinin, bugüne kadar sistemli bir şekilde ele alınmaması, tez konusunun belirlenmesinde etkili olmuştur. Yapılan araştırmaların yetersizliği, fotoğraf ve çizimlerdeki sorunlar ancak bazı yayınlarda çözümlenebil- miştir. Tezin ilk aşamasında bölgede otuz örnek saptanmışsa da, ileri safhalarda bu sayı kırkikiye yükselmiştir. Sunun nedeni döşemelerin bir kısmının hiç araştırılmamasmdandır. Yapılan çalışmanın belgeleyici nitelikte olması nedeniyle, katalog bölümünde bugüne kadar döşemeyle ilgili yapılmış her türlü kaynak ve yayın taranıp tanıtılmıştır. Günümüze gelebilenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunda koruma olmadığından gittikçe yok olan döşemelerin ayrıntılı tasvirleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmacıların yaptığı tarihlendirmelerde neleri göz önünde tuttukları saptanarak eksiklikler giderilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuçta Marmara bölgesindeki opus-sectile yer döşemelerinin Sanat Tarihi 'ndeki yeri, zaman içindeki yayılımı ve bölgenin katkıları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.

SUMMARY It has become effective in determining the subject of the thesis that the opus-sectile pavement has no been dealt with systematically until today in Marmara regien. The inefficiency of the created investigations, the problems on drawings and photographs can only be solved thanks to the some of the publications. Althought in the first step of the thesis it has been established thirty sample in the region, for advanced phase this number was raised to the forty. The cause of this is, because of not being investigated some of the pavements. Because of the study that has been made has the quality of documentary every kind of source and publication, that has been prepared until today, is recognized and searched thoroughly in catalog part. There is no protection for these sources and publication that can come to our time, so it has been described in detail the pavements that is gradually disappedring. In researcher's chronogramming it has been determined what did they consider and the deficiencies has been tried to removed. Consequently opus-sectile pavement place in Marmara region Art History the expansion include the time and the contribution of the region has been tried to determined.
