Özet
Sanata dair degerlerin bireye kavratılması ve kazandırılması süreci sanat egitiminin gerekliligini ortaya koymustur. Sanat egitimi bireysellik esaslıdır ve ögrencideki yaratıcı güç ortaya çıkarılmaya çalısılmaktadır. Türkiye'de Yüksek Ögretim Kurumuna baglı üniversitelerde bünyesinde Heykel Bölümü bulunan dört üniversitede yapılan arastırmayla, günümüzde, soyut sanat anlayısının ögrencilerin heykel ana sanat atölye derslerindeki görüslerini etkileme durumu, ögrencinin cinsiyet, anne babasının egitim ve ekonomik durumu, ögrencinin mezun oldugu lise türü ve ögrenim gördügü üniversite degiskenlerine göre ortaya konulmaya çalısılmıstır. Ancak, arastırma konusu okuyucuya sunulurken alt yapı olması bakımından, öncelikle soyut sanat anlayısının Batı'daki ve Türkiye'deki gelisim süreci temelleri ile birlikte verilmistir. Arastırmada ögrencilere veri toplama aracı (anket) uygulanmıstır.

The course of having the individual gain the values of art has shown the need of Art Education. The Art Education is built up on individuality and the task is to uncover the creative power of the student. With the study which is made In four universities which has Sculpture Department within, from the universities of High Education Institution in Turkey, the case how the understanding of abstract art affects the thoughts of the students in main sculpture art lessons is tried to be explained through the variationgs of the gender of the student, the economic and educational status of his/her parents , the type of high school that the student graduated from and the university he or she is studying. However, while the subject of the study is being presented to the reader, the development process of the understanding of abstract art in Europe and in Turkey is given in order to create basic knowledge. In the study, a survey is made among students.
