Özet

Egitim ve ögretim çocugun dogdugu günden itibaren ailesinde baslayıp çevresinde ve okulda devam eden ve hayatına yansıyarak süreklilik arz eden bir süreç olmaktadır. Herkes egitim alma ve egitim alacagı okulları seçme hakkına sahiptir. Ancak okul seçiminde ögrencilerin tercihlerine etki eden bazı faktörler bulunmakta ve bu faktörler okul seçimini kısıtlamaktadır. Cinsiyet, istek ve beklentiler, sahip olunmak istenen meslek, ilgi ve yetenekler, okul basarısı rehberlik ve yöneltme çalısmaları, ailelerin sosyo-ekonomik düzeyleri, orta ögretim kurumlarının türü ve sayısı, orta ögretim kurumlarının ÖSS basarısı, ögrencilerin sınav basarıları (OKS), orta ögretim kurumlarının verdigi egitim ve ögretimin niteligi ile orta ögretim kurumlarına ait özellikler bu faktörler arasındadır. Bu arastırma ile ögrencilerin orta ögretim kurumu tercihlerinde etkili olan faktörlerden okul türüne göre hangilerinin etkili oldugu belirlenmeye çalısılmıstır . Amaçlanan bu hedef dogrultusunda, tercih edilen okul türüne göre, okul tercihinde etkili olan bireysel ve tercih edilen okullara ait faktörlerin etki sırasının ne oldugu, bireysel mi yoksa tercih edilen okullara ait faktörlerin mi daha etkili oldugu, tercih edilen okul türlerine göre demografik özellikler arasında anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadıgı, bireysel ve okullara ait faktörlerin cinsiyet, anne-babanın egitim durumu, ailenin geliri hane halkı nüfusu ve okul türü degiskenlerine göre anlamlı fark gösterip göstermedigi sorularına cevap aranmıstır. Bu amaçla Adapazarı'nda bulunan 21 ortaögretim kurumundaki I. Sınıf ögrencilerinden 523 kisi ile anket çalısması yapılmıs, elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmistir. Okul türüne göre demografik farklılıkları belirlemek için iki degiskenli Kay-Kare testi kullanılmıstır .Okul tercihine etki eden bireysel faktörlerle ilgili verilerin analizinde Kruskal Wallis analizi, okullara ait faktörlerle ilgili verilerin analizi için ise tek faktörlü ANOVA kullanılmıstır . Yapılan çalısma sonucunda okul tercihinde tüm okul türlerine göre benzer faktörlerin etkisi oldugu, en etkili faktörlerin kendilerinin ve ailelerinin istek ve beklentileri ile sahip olmak istedikleri meslek ve tercih edilecek okulun egitim kalitesinin oldugu saptanmıstır

Education is a time period which starts with the born of the child in his family and continues at school and reflects to his life.Everybody has the rights to educate and to choose where they educate, but there are some factors which affect and to restrict the students choices. Tehese factors are the sex, the wishes and the expectations of the student, the job which he wants to have, school success, guidance works, the kind and the number of secondary schools, the economic level of the family, the success of the schools in ÖSS, the success of the students in OKS, the quality of the education at schools. It is studied that to determine the factors which affects the students? choices of the high school, according to the kinds of the schools. With this aim, it is asked that, according to the kind of the school, what the order of the personal factors? affects and the factors of the schools which are choosen is, which is more affected; the personal factors or the factors of the schools which are choosen, according to the kinds of the schools wheter there is a demografic difference or not, the personal factors and the factors of the school change due to the sex of the students the parents? education, income populatin and the changes of the kinds of the schools, or not. Whit this aim questionnaire is done with 523 1st class students in 21 secondary schools in Adapazarı. These results are analyzed by SPSS packet programme. Kay-Kare Test is used to determine the demografic differences due to the kinds of the school. To analyze the results of the personel factors which affect the school choice , Kruskal Wallis analyze is used and to analyze the results which are related to the schools, ANOVA (one factor based) is used. As a result of the findings, it is expressed that in the choices of the schools, similar factors are important on the other hand, the most important factors are the students and their families? wishes and expectations, and the job which they want to have and the education quality of the school which they go.
