SUMMARY The solitary basic foundation for this work is the book named as Hadikatü1 1-Vüzerâ that had been written by Osmanzâde Ahmed Ta'ib and this written work had been written by depending on the grand visier's biographies. The grand visiers, in the first five hundreds period of time from the foundation of Ottoman Emprie, were the most authorized person of the state after Sultan and they had an equal position with today's prime minister. This book, that was the solitary biographic book and had been written about the grand visiers and had a great hisrorical importance, with its scared part hasn't been studied before in the way we have studied. Consequently, one of the important results of our study is, the transcription of the mentioned book has been written by us. Thus I'll have facilitated for the investigators that couldn't profit the Ottoman text. Secondary, the informations of the book Hadîkatü'l- Vüzerâ, which had been gathered sistematically and the results of the investigation had been written by using a computer that one of the most useful 1 machine of todays' thecnology, had been written in our study. We expecially took charge of the Ottoman grand visiers' nationalities, social positions, the period of their duties, and -' ' z way of their leaving from their positions. Moreover, the conn, 'j.-ss of these consequences among themselves had been directly and indirectly written. Beside these consequences will generally give an idea about the state and the grand visiers and each lineage had been written in many different ways. The graphics, that had been given in the paper scared and showed each situation about them will help to the investigators. As we know, this subject hasn't been sistematicly ixamined till this period of time. If we have a suplement to tke out the reality in this matter, we will suppose us happy. 38
