Özet
Bu çalısmada, medyanın yoksulluk söyleminin ve algısının degisimindeki rolü ve yeni söylemsel olusumun parçaları olan `kapkaç', `varos', `tinerci çocuklar' kavramlarının dilimize yerlesme süreci incelenmistir. Ülkemizde, özellikle yaygın medyada yeni söylemsel olusumun parçaları olan kavramların yer aldıgı haberlerin gündeme getirdigi kisisel güvenligimizi kaybettigimiz kanaatinin; kentlerin etnik yapısı, sınıfsal bölümlenmeleri ve mekan algılamalarını nasıl etkiledigi anlasılmaya çalısılmıstır. Medyada yer alan yoksulluk haberlerinin dönemsellestirilerek incelenmesi sonucu elde edilen veriler göz önünde bulundurularak yoksulluk söylemin degistigi tespit edilmistir. Medyanın yoksulluk söylemin degismesindeki rolü incelenirken, söylemsel degisimin çok boyutlu bir süreç oldugu ve medyanın bu süreçteki tek dinamik olmadıgı gerçegi de göz ardı edilmemis, yoksulluk söyleminin degisiminde etkili olan daha dogrusu bu degisim sürecini hazırlayan ekonomik, toplumsal ve kültürel süreçlerin de tarihsel arka planlarına bakılmıstır.

In this study, the role of the media regarding the change occurred in the rhetoric of poverty and corruption and the process of settlement in our language of fragments of the new rhetoric such as `purse-snatching?, `city outskirts?, `glue sniffing- kids? has been studied. How it has influenced, in our country, the conviction brought up by the news, especially in the widespread media where segments of the new rhetorical formation take place, that we have lost our personal security; the ethnic structure of the cities, the class subdivision and perception of locations has also been studied. Taking into consideration the data resulting from the periodical classification of the poverty news taking place in the media it has been determined that the rhetoric of poverty was changed. While studying the role of the media in the change regarding the expression of poverty, the reality that the media was not the only dynamic behind this multi dimensional process of change in expression was not disregarded, the historical backgrounds of the economic, social and cultural processes which have been effective in preparing this change in the rhetoric of poverty have also been looked at.
