these problems. As well as this, the abolishment of regional differences in Turkey causedto be reveal the national state in Turkey. As s result of this. It was decided that thesettlement policy was applied in this time.There were soma similarities and differences between the application of settlementpolicy which followed in the Republican and the period of Union and Progress Part in theOttoman Empire. In this thesis, The regional differences are stated in Turkey especiallyEastern and Southeast Anatolia, and the settelement in these arease.The application of settlement policy in Turkey was changed as to regionaldifferences. All of these varieties are explained according to regional and provincialfeatures. The results of this policy are evaluated in this thesis. Besides this, The Armenian,Russian, some immigrated person7s properties caused some problems especially East andSoutheast Anatolian regions. All of these problems and sollutions are studied there.Consequently, the aims of settlement policy in Turkey are evaluated.
