Özet
Bu tez Türkiye üzerine bir çalışma aracılığıyla Küreselleşme Karşıtı Hareketleriçerisindeki çerçeve oluşturma süreçlerini incelemektedir. Tezin amacı hareketinhedef, amaç ve eylem yöntemlerini tanımlayan diyagnostik ve prognostik çerçeveoluşturma süreçlerinin betimleyici bir incelemesini sunmaktır. Bu çalışma kartopuyöntemiyle ulaşılan amaçlı bir örneklem ile gerçekleştirilen yarı-yapılandırılmışmülakatlardan elde edilen niteliksel verilere dayalı bir keşif araştırmasıdır.Türkiye'deki hareket, hareket için belirgin bir amaç tanımlayamamıştır. Katılanörgütlenmeler ya da bireyler için uğrunda savaştıkları farklı bir ?alternatif gelecek?söz konusudur, ayrıca izlenmesi gereken eylem yöntemleri konusunda da bir uzlaşmasöz konusu değildir; ancak tamamen yeni bir alternatif üretecek evrimsel bir ?olma?sürecine inanç tamdır. Hareket içerisinde çerçeve oluşturma konusundaki birçokçekişmenin yanı sıra güç iddiaları da sürmektedir; ancak hareketin içindeki güçlüdayanışmayı sağlayan iki önemli uzlaşma noktası bulunmaktadır: Harekete göredünya toplumlarının bugünkü rahatsızlıklarının nedeni çoğu zaman neoliberalizm vekapitalizmle eşanlamlı kullanılan küreselleşmedir ve hareket bugünden daha iyi birgelecek oluşturabilecek güçtedir. Hareketin belirgin toplumsal değişiklikleryaratabilecek potansiyele sahip olduğu sonucuna varılabilir, bu nedenle hareketiniçerisinde geliştirilen, var olan toplumsal hareketler literatürünün tanımlamış olduğukavramların tam olarak karşılayamadığı, yeni örgütlenme modelleri ile eylemyöntemleri farklı kuramsal yaklaşımlarla değerlendirilmelidir.

This thesis explores the framing processes within the Anti/Alternative-GlobalizationMovement through a case study on Turkey. The purpose of the study is to supply adescriptive analysis of the diagnostic and prognostic framing processes within themovement which identify the targets, goals and the strategies of action for themovement. This is an exploratory research based on a purposive sample achievedthrough snowball sampling and qualitative data gathered through semi-structuredinterviews.The movement in Turkey has not been able to propose a concrete goal for themovement. The participating organizations or activists have different visualizationsof the ?alternative futures? they are fighting for; there is no consensus on thestrategies of action to be followed, but there is a belief in an evolutionary?becoming? process which eventually will provide a totally new alternative. Thereare many frame contestations besides power claims existing within the movement;however, there are two major consensus points supplying the basis of solidaritywithin the movement: According to the movement the cause of the current discontentwithin the world?s societies is globalization, which is mostly equated toneoliberalism or capitalism, and secondly the movement is seen as being able toshape a better future. It is possible to conclude that the movement has a potential toivbring about concrete social changes, and therefore the new organizational forms andstrategies of action -developed within the movement- which do not fit to the existingconceptions of the social movement literature should be evaluated with differenttheoretical perspectives.
