Sonuçlar ö rencilerin ilgilerinde artoldu unu ve sunum sonras yap lan testlerin en az iki tanesinde ö rencilerin ba aroldu unu göstermektedir. The study aims to devise a reference list for teachersworking in this field of study. It aims to help teachers with tested materials to be usedwhile introducing new words. A research was conducted to obtain the results of thetechnique of using photographs for vocabulary teaching. Twenty-four nouns between1000-1500 ranges from Michael West?s 2000 most frequently used word list werechosen for model teaching. These words were presented to the students by usingphotographs, which include positive examples and negative examples. The resultsshowed that there was an increase in the interest of the students and the studentssucceeded and got results above the cut point in at least two tests in the postpresentation session. The study also presented a guide for the teachers on using morepermanent techniques for vocabulary teaching.Key WordsGeneral Service List Vocabulary teaching Photographsiv
