ÖZETTözluyurt, Mehmet,Kur'an'da Gelenek Kavramı,Yüksek LisansTezi, Danışman: Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akbulut, 100 s.Din ve gelenek insan yaşamının en önemli iki kavramıdır.Bugün insanlar bu iki kavramı birbirine karıştırmıştır. Bizde tezimizde din ve gelenek ayırımı üzerinde durmayaçalıştık.Tezimiz giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişkısmında, geleneğin oluşumunda en etkili unsurun insanolduğunu,buna rağmen geleneğin zamanla sorgulanamaz biryapıya büründürüldüğünü ortaya koymaya çalıştık. İnsanlığınilerlemesine katkıda bulunan gelenekler olduğu gibi,insanlığı tam bir çıkmaza sürükleyen gelenekler de vardır.Birinci bölümde,Allah'ın, geleneğini insanlarındavranışlarına göre şekillendirdiğini, bu geleneğini hiçkimse için bozmayacağını; peygamberlerin dini anlamak içinortaya koydukları uygulamalarının asla dinle birtutulamayacağını, onların sadece örnek olduklarını; atalarıngeleneklerinin de daima iyi olarak görülmemesi gerektiğinivurguladık.İkinci bölümde, din ile geleneğin aynı şeyler olmadığınıbelirttik. Çünkü dinin kaynağı Allah iken geleneğin kaynağıinsandır. Bir de geleneğin mutlaka sorgulanması üzerindedurduk.1

ABSTRACTTÖZLUYURT, Mehmet,Tradition Notion in the Qur?an,Master?s Thesis, Advisor:Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akbulut, 100 p.Religion and traditions are the two most importantnotions of a human?s life. Today people have confused thosetwo notions into one another. We have tried to focus on thisdifferentiation of religion and traditions in our thesis.Our thesis is composed of an introduction and twoseparate sections. In the introduction part, we have triedto explicate that it is the human beings themselves that arethe most important factors in the formation of traditions anddespite this fact, that traditions are gradually convertedinto a structure that become almost impossible to question.While there exist some traditions that contribute to theadvancement of humanity, there also exist some traditionsthat bring impasse.the humanity to a completeIn the first section, we have emphasised that the Godshapes the traditions according to the deeds of the humanbeings and that the God can not modify this tradition forexclusively anybody; that one can not compare the practicesthat the prophets have proposed in order to understand thereligion better to a religion, but those practices shouldonly be regarded as model deeds; that the traditions thathave descended on us should always be highly regarded.In the second section, we have revealed that religion andtraditions are not the same things. It is mainly because,while the source of the religion is the God, the source ofthe traditions is the human beings themselves. We have alsoemphasised the fact that the traditions should always bequestioned.2
