Özet
Bu araştırma, 2005-2006 eğitim-öğretim yılı Gaziantep'te genel liselerin ÖSS alt sınırbaşarısı belirlemede etkili olabilecek aile-okul ve öğrenci yeterliliklerini bulmak amacıylayapılmıştır.Araştırma evrenini Gaziantep'te bulunan Gaziantep Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü tarafındanyayınlanan 2005 ÖSS başarı listesine göre ilk üç ve son üç sıralamasında olan toplam altı okuldagörev yapan yönetici ve öğretmenler ile belirtilen okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencileroluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemi ise yönetici ve öğretmenlerin hepsinden, öğrencilerinyüzde kırkından oluşmaktadır.Veri toplama aracı olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan denemelikanket ve pilot uygulamasından sonra asıl uygulama yönetici, öğretmen ve öğrenci için üç ayrıanketle yapılmıştır. Her aşamada uzman görüşü alınarak düzeltmeler ve değişiklikler yapılmıştır.Toplam 23 idareci, 345 öğretmen ve 776 öğrenciden dönüt alınmıştır. Elde edilen verilere yüzdelikhesaplamaları yapılmış, iki okul grubu arasında karşılaştırma yapılmıştır.Elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenlerin yaptığı görev süresi, öğretmenlerin bulunduklarıokulda görev yaptıkları süre, öğretmenlerin mesleğe bağlılıkları, öğrencinin anne ve babasınıneğitim durumu, öğrenci babasının mesleği, ve öğrencinin okul öncesi eğitim almış olması,öğrencinin okul dışında ÖSS'e yönelik ek imkanlardan yararlanması ÖSS alt sınır başarısınıbelirleyen faktörler olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre uygulayıcılara vearaştırmacılara önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study was conducted during the academic year of 2005-2006 and was designed toseek answer(s) to the major problem drafted as ?What are the family-school-studentsufficiencies which can make distinctions to determine ÖSS minimum success in the generalpublic secondary schools in Gaziantep??The population of the study consisted of principals, teachers, and the students attendingschools which were withdrawn according to the OSS list of success published by TheProvincial Directorate of National Education of Gaziantep. The population was divided into twoschool groups: the first group was composed of the top three schools in the list and the secondgroup was composed of the bottom three schools. The sampling consisted of all the principals,teachers and forty percent of the students.The tools used in data collection consisted of three different versions for the principals,the teachers and the students. The questionnaires were administered to 23 principals, 345teachers and 776 students. The data collected was tabulated mainly in the form of pie charts.The pie charts belonging to two diffrent groups were compared and commented on.On the basis of the findings, the factors determinining the OSS bottom line success inthe public secondary schools in Gaziantep were as follows: the length of time the teachers hadconducted his job, the length of time the teachers had conducted his job in the school he wasworking, the faithfulness of the teacher to his job, the education status of the mother and thefather of the student, job of the father of the student, whether the student received pre-schooleducation, whether the student got benefit of extra help from special courses. The researchersand the practitioners were provided with some further suggestions based on the findings of thestudy.
