This study is about researching the village institutes within a space framework,that is an important educational foundation aimed to accelerate thedevelopment efforts in the early Republic period. The village institutes, whichplay an important role in waking efforts of Republic of Tiirkiye targeting tomove in the way of modernization from the village to the whole Anatolia,involve many experiences about the space culture and architecture. While theseschools train the village teacher as a leader, they aimed on the other hand toheal the village conditions, which was their primary target. In the study, thevillage institutes' architectural construction and space oriented responses wereevaluated in its foresights' and experiences viewpoint, accompanying with theformal statements and the ideas in the minds. In this way, The Republic'sapproach to the village space, and its expectations for the village's developmentwere tried to be identified by the research of the village institutes.Science Code : 802.1.099.1.101
