This research was conducted to determine yield and yield components of some durumwheat lines and cultivars in Tokat-Kazova conditions during 2005-2006 growing seasons. In theexperiment, nine durum wheat cultivars produced in different regions of Turkey and 13 breedinglines obtained from ICARDA and three mutant durum wheat lines were used. The experimentaldesing was a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. It was consisted of 75(25x3) plots. Plots were 6.0 m2 (0.2 m x 5.0 m x six rows). Seeds were sown with a density of450 plants per square meter. Sowing was performed by a sowing-machine on October 28th,2005. Fertilizer rates were calculated as 100 kg N and 50 kg P2O5 per hectare. All of thephosphorus fertilizer was applied at sowing while nitrogen fertilizer was splitted to 1/2 of N atsowing and 1/2 of N at before jointing stage. In the study, heading period, heading-ripeningperiod, plant height, the number of spike per square meter, spike lenght, the number of kernelsper spike, spike yield, 1000-kernel weight, test weight, yellowberry kernel percentage and grainyield were evaluated. Significant differences in investigated traits were determined amonggenotypes except for the number of spike per square meter. Based on the results, Mirzabey wasrecommended for grain yield and Hat-24 was advised for percentages of yellowberry kernelswhile dHúLW-1252 was recommended for both grain yield and quality for the Tokat-Kazovaregion.
