ENDÜSTR MESLEK L SELER NE ÖĞRENC YÖNEL M VE EĞ T MSÜREC NE L ŞK N ÖĞRENC GÖRÜŞLER(Yüksek Lisans Tezi)Ebru AKKAYAGAZ ÜN VERS TESFEN B L MLER ENST TÜSÜNisan 2006ÖZETBu çalışmada, ilköğretim okulundan mezun olan öğrencilerin EndüstriMeslek Liselerini (EML) ve bölümlerini tercih sebepleri ve eğitimsürecinde karşılaştıkları problemlerin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Buamaçla, Ankara ili sınırları içinde dört farklı bölgedeki 977 meslek lisesiöğrencisi (1. ve 3. sınıf) denek üzerinde anket uygulaması yapılmıştır.Anket sonuçları, SPSS (Sosyal Bilimler çin statistik Programı) istatistikprogramdan yararlanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin görüşlerininbelirlenmesinde frekans (f) ve yüzdeler (%) kullanılmıştır.Anket uygulaması sonucuna göre, öğrencilerin ancak % 15'ine yakınıilköğretim öğretmeninin yönlendirmesiyle EML'yi tercih etmiştir. Diğeröğrenciler ise ailelerinin, çevrelerinin telkini veya kendi tercihleriyleEML'ye yönelmişlerdir. Bölümlerini tercih etmelerinde etkenler ise,mesleklerinin güncel olması, kolay iş bulabilme düşünceleri veyasosyal çevrelerinin yönlendirmesidir.Öğrencilerin mesleki eğitim sürecindeki bölüm ve eğitimle ilgilidüşünceleri incelendiğinde, üniversiteye hazırlıkta yetersizolduklarından ve fakülte tercihlerinde yaşadıkları dezavantajlardanşikayetçi oldukları görülmüştür. Bu öğrencilerin % 30'unun mezuniyetsonrası sınavsız Meslek Yüksek Okuluna devam etmek istediği, %44'ünün ise dört yıllık bir fakültede lisans eğitimi almak istedikleribelirlenmiştir. Lisans eğitimi istemelerinin nedenleri; meslek hakkındateorik ve pratik bilgi edinmek, kariyer geliştirmek ve istihdamlarınıkolaylaştırmak olduğu saptanmıştır.Uygulamaya katılan 3. sınıf öğrencilerin EML'ye kayıt esnasındakibeklentilerinin büyük oranda gerçekleşmediği belirlenmiştir.Bilim Kodu : 710

Thesis)Ebru AKKAYAGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYApril 2006ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to investigate the reason for choosing ofstudents, graduated from primary school, to the Vocational High School(VHS) and its departments and evaluation of the problems that studentsfaced. Fort his purpose, a questionnaire has been prepared and carriedout on 977 students in Ankara at four different VHS. Results werwanalyzed by using a SPSS (The Statistical packet fort he SocialSciences) statistical programme. In order to determine the opinions ofstudents, frequency (f) and percentages were used.The results showed that only 15 % of the students was directed to theVHS by their primary school teachers. The others were directed to theVHS by the effect of society and their parents or themselves. Preferringreasons for departments were due to the popularity of profession, ideaof finding the job easily or directing by society.When analyzing of students opinion related to their department andtheir vocational education, it was observed that they were complainingabout the insufficient education level for university exam and alsounjust coefficient factor for choosing the faculties.After graduation, 30 % of the students wanted to g oto vocationalcollage without exam and 44 % wanted to take a bachelor degree at theuniversity. The latter wanted to g oto university in order to obtainfurther practical and the oretical educations, developing their carrierand obtaining beter jobs.It was observed that the 3 year students did not find what they hadexpected during their VHS registration.Science Code : 710
