98 ABSTRACT The flakes and blades which bear the oldest tools of the human history, are obtained almost in every research area in Anatolia. As the number of the researchs inerease in Adıya man regione and in the Southeast Anatolia Region, the num ber of the obtained flakes and blades increase, too. It is sure that examining these tools will be very important for the proper placement of the Anatolian Paleolithic Chronology as examining the other tools. For this reason, we tried to examine as far as we could a chosen pile of hundred and ten flakes and blades from around Adıyaman regione(Şehramuz Tepesi) from the technical and typological point of view. During our examinations, a table of analysis was formed for each tool and remarkable features of these tools were indicated in these tables. The photographs of these tools which are subjects of our studies were given besides their drawimgs. To make the comparisons of these tools easier, the same code num bers were given to each tool, when aranging the designs of the photographs, drawings and table of analysis. After evaluating the results of the studies, it was observed that, in majority, the tools chosen from around Adıyamân(Şehramuz Tepesi) were pretty rough, pro minently with bulbs, splinters, lips, a great number with99 crusts and patinae, and pieces having no attentive work manship. Thus, it was concluded that these tools can be classified as lower Paleolithic tools.
