ÖZET Doktora Tezi sg=cg+va METRİKLİ RÎEMANNİAN MANİFOLDU Melek ARAŞ Atatürk Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Matematik Anabilim Dalı Danışman; Prof. Dr. A. Arif SALİMOV Bu tezde, sg metriği ile birlikte Mn de X vektör alanının T(Mn) de ' X complete liftinin birim vektör olması için X in Mn de birim vektör ve a(jX'YJ = 1 gerektiği ayrıca T\Mn) de c X ve CY complete liftlerinin ortagonel olması için gerek ve yeter şartm Mn de X ve Y vektörlerinin ortagonel ve a0X'YJ = 0 olması gerektiği görüldü. Herhangi bir X e T" \{Mn) için Vxa = 0 olduğunda ( g ve ^metriklerinin Levi-Civita konneksiyonlarının aynı olduğu bulundu. T(M n ) de doğrulmuş (induced) koordinatlara göre sg metriğine bağlanan VX, (X ve HX ko vektör al anlarının bileşenleri bulundu. Ayrıca s g metriğinin Riemannian konneksiyonu ve metrik konneksiyonlan incelendi. Son olarak, V metrik konneksiyonunun R eğrilik tensörünün R^ bileşenleri hesaplandı. 2§§5, 76 sayfa

ABSTRACT Ph. D. Thesis RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD WITH THE METRIC sg='g+va Melek ARAS Atatürk University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Mathematics Supervisor: Prof. Dr. A. Arif SALİMOV In this thesis, it has been shown that, the complete lift of a vector field X in Mn to T(Mn) with metric sg a unit ( resp. a null ) vector field X if and only if the vector field X is a unit ( resp. a null ) vector field in Mn and aIJX'YJ =1 (resp. ayX'YJ = 0 ). In addition, it was shown that, if V xa = 0, for any X <^<T !,(M“), then Levi-Civita connections of the f g and the metric s g coincide. We compute components of the associated covector fields X* with respect to the metric ”s g.It has been found, the Riemannian connections s Y% of the the metric s g and the metric connections V of the metric s g was investigated. Finally, we compute components i?/^.s of the curvature tensor R of the metric connection V. 2005, 76 pages
