ABSTRACT In this study we will try to have a close look at an anonymous Ottoman chronicle which was written in the 16th century.Unfortunately, we do not know the exact date when the book was written-Therefore, we will focus on the book itself rather than other facts. Firstly, we will briefly talk about the Ottoman history writing in the 1 6th century and then,we will compare this chronicle with some other chronicles. Secondly,we will give the text in the translation alpb.abet.The next step is to look at the verses in the text.Finally,we will talk about the use of the Turkish language in the chronicle. Our aim is to cast light on the anonymous Otoman chronicle and to present it as much as possible.So that,one can have an idea about its linguistic and literal value.
