Özet
Bu çalışmada cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf düzeyi, yaşamın çoğunun geçirildiği yerleşim yeri, annenin eğitim durumu, babanın eğitim durumu, annenin mesleği, babanın mesleği, algılanan gelir düzeyi, algılanan anne tutumu ve algılanan baba tutumu değişkenlerinin lise öğrencilerinin atılganlık düzeylerini yordama güçleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, 2003-2004 öğretim yılında İzmir ili merkez ilçelerindeki resmi genel ve özel liseler arasından belirlenen alt, orta ve üst sosyo- ekonomik düzeyi temsil ettiği düşünülen toplam 7 lisede öğrenim gören lisel. ve lise 2. sınıf öğrencilerinden seçkisiz örnekleme yoluyla seçilen toplam 919 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, Rathus Atılganlık Envanteri ve araştırma için özel olarak hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin atılganlık düzeylerini yordayan değişkenlerin belirlenmesi için aşamalı çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, lise öğrencilerinin atılganlık düzeylerinin yordayıcılanmn cinsiyet, ailenin gelir düzeyi, yaşamın çoğunun geçirildiği yerleşim yeri, algılanan anne tutumu ve annenin eğitim durumu değişkenleri olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.

This study investigated the predicting values of the factors such as gender, age, class, geographic location where most of the life has been lived, educational level of the mother, educational level of the father, occupation of the mother, occupation of the father, perceptional family income, perceptional attitude of mother, perceptional attitude of father on the assertiveness levels of the high school students. Sample of the study is formed by random selection of total of 919 students from first and second grades from 7 governmental and private high schools of the central İzmir, which is thought to represent the low, middle and high socio-economical status, in 2003-2004 educational year. Data of the study is collected via the Rathus Assertiveness Scale and the Personal Data Form which is formed by the researcher. Stepwise multiple regression analysis is used to determine the variables predicting the assertiveness levels of students. Results of this study revealed that predictors of the assertiveness level of the high school students are the gender, family income, geographical location where most of the life has been lived, perceptional attitude of the mother, education level of the mother.
