Özet
130 DIŞ TİCARETİN EKONOMİK BUYUME ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ ÖZET Tez çalışması dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm“Ekonomik Büyüme Teorileri”başlığı altında oluşturulmuştur. Bu bölümde kalkınma ve büyüme terimlerinin iktisadi tanımı yapılmış ve aralarındaki iktisadi bağlantı analiz edilmiştir. Konu ile ilgili çeşitli iktisatçıların görüşlerine yer verilerek kalkınmanın büyümeyi kapsadığı, birbiri yerine kullanılabileceği vurgulanmıştır. Daha sonra reel büyümenin kaynakları incelenmiş ve büyüme teorileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Tezin ikinci bölümü“Dış Ticaret ve Büyüme İlişkisinde Teorik ve Ampirik Yaklaşımlar”ana başlığı ile işlenmiştir. Bölümün başlarında dış ticaret teorilerine genel olarak yer verilmiştir. Daha sonra dış ticaret; ithalat ve ihracat olarak incelenerek, büyümeye olan olası etkileri araştırılmıştır. Stratejik büyüme-kalkınma kavramları tanımlanarak, ithal ikameci ve dışa dönük kalkınma modelleri incelenmiş, dünyanın çeşitli ülkelerinin yaşadığı deneyimler ve teorik yaklaşımlar ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde dışa açıklık tanımı yapılarak üçüncü bölümde değinilen teorik modellerin anlaşılmasının kolaylaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Dış ticaretin etkileşim içinde olduğu değişkenler incelenerek, küresel ekonomide büyümeye olası etkilerine değinilmiştir. Üçüncü bölüm“Dış Ticaret ve Büyüme İlişkisinde Teorik Modeller”başlığı ile belli başlı teorisyenlerin modelleri ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. Anlatılan teorik çalışmalarda dış ticaretin ekonomik büyümeye olumlu etki yaptığı vurgulanmakta ve iddia ispatlanmaktadır. Türkiye'nin 2000-2004 yıllarında yaşamış olduğu ekonomik deneyimler, teorik çalışmaları destekler nitelikte açıklanarak iddia pekiştiril miştir. Tezin dördüncü bölümünde dış ticaretin ekonomik büyümeyi artırdığı önermesi VAR modellemesi Türkiye üzerine uygulanmıştır.

131 THE EFFECTS OF FOREIGN TRADE ON ECONOMIC GROWTH ABSTRACT The thesis consists of four main parts. The first part of the thesis is structured under the title of“Economic Growth Models”. In this part the definition of growth and development terms are defined and the link between these terms is analyzed. Many of economists' ideas are given in this part about the subject and the argument that the development covered the growth term. Later on the sources of growth are investigated and stressed on the growth theories. The second part of the thesis is structured by the title“The Theoretical and Empirical Approaches in the Relation of Growth and Foreign Trade”. At the beginning of the part; the foreign trade theories are told. Later on the foreign trade is analyzed consisting of export, import and the effects these to economic growth. Strategic growth-development terms are defined, the export-led growth and import-led growth are analyzed by investigating several countries and Turkey's practices and theoretical approaches subjecting of them. In this part the term of openness is defined and aimed to let easier understanding of part three. The variables which are in effect with the foreign trade are investigated and the probable effects to are told in this part. The third part of the thesis investigates theoretical approaches of important economists deeply under the title of“The theoretical Models on Growth and Foreign Trade”. The theoretical models tell that the foreign trade effects growth positively and proof their claims. As a matter of fact the experiences of Turkey between the years 2000-2004, supporting the theoretical workings, are explained and the claim intensified. In the fourth part of the thesis, with a VAR model on Turkey, the effects of foreign trade on economic growth analyzed and it was seen that foreign trade had increased the economic growth.
