oz iasanlîk tarihi boyunca toplamsal denetimin başlıca araçlarından biri olan“gözetim”olgusu ile günümüzde bireyleri dört bir yandan çevrelemeye başlayan“gözetim toplumu”pratiklerinin analizini hedef alan btı çalışma; karşı-ütopyalarda resmedilen ve enformasyon teknolojileri desteğinde yeni bir trend olarak beliren tophırasât yapınm faeîiııılemesitEİ w mevcut: duruma yönelik kuramların günümüz açısından değerlendirmesini içermektedir. Bu bağlamda konu, teoride ve pratikteki mevcut yönelimleri içerisBîde, hem felsefi vs sasyö-ekönomik tecMÜer ışığımda gözetim pratiklerinin kuramsal olarak incelenmesini hem de söz konusu teknolojilerin samriııgıı m»k»wiar döğratasaîida belirginleşmeye başlsyan gözetim toplumunun gündelik yaşam içindeki uygulamalarının gözler önüne serilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada ulaşılan söthiç da, ele aimaa varsaymn destekler şekilde, festeütsr karakteristikler sergilerken -çağdaş toplumların özelliği oterak- şiddet germekten mümkün olduğunca faacwnam iktidarların denetimindeki bir toplum tipinin, günden güne daha da belirginleşmekte olduğu yönündedir. ABSTRACT This study targets to analysis of the feet of“surveillance”as one of the main tool of social control during human history and practices of the“surveillance society”which today begins to sarrotmd maivmiwh from all dkeetbns. Study also includes description of the social structure illustrated in anti-utopias and appearing as a. new trend supported by the information technologies, It also evaluates theories about current situations in terms of today. In this context, subject, in its practical and theoretical orientations, aims at both analysing surveillance practices theoretically through philosophical and socio-economic theories and demonstrating practk the surveillance society which becomes evident in daily life through pos provided by these technologies. Conclusion of the study supports taker^-l^p^Uesis. J© ^? ' According to it, the kind öf society which is controlled by powers^te^^g use of violence as much as possible, but also showing totalitarian ch^petemtic becomes much more apparent day by day. Ill
