Özet

ÖZET Bu tezin amacı okuyucuya zihin felsefesinin belli başlı sorunlarını tanıtmaktır. Bu yeni felsefe alanının genel bir sunumunu sağlamak için, şu konular gözden geçirilmiştir: zihin felsefesinin felsefenin içinden ve dışından olan başka araştırma alanları ile olan ilişkisi; zihin felsefesinin tarihi; zihin ve zihinsel fenomenlere has olanı konu alan çeşitli felsefi kuramlar; zihnin doğası ve zihnin zihinsel-olmayanla ilişkisi üzerine çeşitli felsefi kuramlar; özel zihinsel fenomenleri ele alan felsefi konular; ve zihin felsefesinin kendine has özel problemleri.

ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to introduce readers to central issues in the philosophy of mind. In order to offer a general presentation on this new area of philosophy, the following topics are examined: the relation of the philosophy of mind to other areas of investigation, both inside and outside philosophy; the history of philosophy of mind; various philosophical theories of what is peculiar to the mind and mental phenomena; various philosophical theories of the nature of the mind and its relation to the nonmental; philosophical issues concerning particular mental phenomena; and particular problems of philosophy of mind.
