Özet
Ill ÖZET“Vertigo”düşünce safhasındayken, mekan için araştırma yapmaya başlamıştım. Projenin konsepti;“Beden ve Mekan İlişkisi”idi. Normal dans zemini üzerinde üretil miş koreografinin, farklı ortam ve elementler (hava, su gibi) içinde yapıldığında nasıl etkileneceğini araştırmak istiyordum. Proje4L - istanbul Güncel Sanat Müzesi, bu konsepti deneyebileceğim ve sunabileceğim uygun bir mekandı. Koreografisini önceden gerçekleştirmiş olduğum parçaların, beden ve mekan üzerindeki ilişkisini ve bunun hareketler üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaya başladığım zaman anladım ki, hareketlerin niteliği ciddi boyutlarda etkileniyor ve buna bağlı olarak bedenin mekanla ilişkisi de etkileniyordu. Solo ve dörtlü dansçı grubundan oluşan koreografilerimin hareket birikimine sadık kalmak istiyordum. Ancak hareket lerin seviyesi, sırası ve yönü değişebilirdi. Dörtlü dansı duvara uygulama ilk fikirdi, sonra soloyu ikinci katta bir camın arkasına yerleştirmek ve solonun suda yapılarak videoya çekilmiş halini, dansçı canlı olarak soloyu yaparken aynı anda üzerine arkadan“cama yansıycak şekilde”yansıtmak fikri gelişti. Soloyu ayrıca final bölümünde, kuarted duvarda yer alırken kullandım. Burada dansçı, iki kiriş arasında, belinden bağlı şekilde, havada bir ip sistemiyle asılıydı ve ayrıca iki kişi tarafından idare edilebilen başka bir ip sistemiyle de ileri geri yönlendiriliyordu. Müzedeki çalışmalar sırasında beni şaşırtan bir ayrıntı gözüme çarptı; ikinci katta yer alan Vanessa Bird'ün resimlerinde, benim kuartetde kullandığım bazı pozlar aynen yer alıyordu. Bu pozları kullanarak, resimler ve önlerindeki bank arasında yer alacak bir solo daha yapmaya karar verdim ve bunuda projenin giriş bölümü olarak kullandım.

IV SUMMARY I started looking for a space while developing the concept of“ Vertigo”. The con cept was“Relationship of Body and Space ”. I wanted to experiment how a chore ography made on normal dance floor would work in different circumstances and elements like water and air and how the movement would be effected? Proje4L- Istanbul Contemporary Art Museumseemed like an appropriate place where I could experiment and demonstrate my concept. As I began to investigate the impact of the relationship of space on the body and on the movement whic I already choreographed, I realised quality of movement was greatly effected, therefore bodies relationship to space was automatically effected. I wanted to remain faitfull to the movement content of the solo and quarted choreo graphed. The level, direction and sequence of choreographed movement was sub ject to change. The first idea was to apply the quarted on the wall, then applying the solo behind the glass on the second floor came. Than came the idea of projecting the video version of the solo taken in the water, behind the dancer while she is perform ing it symulteniously... I also used the same solo in the final section where the quar ted was happening on the wall. There the dancer was hanged from her waist on a rope between the two pillars, controlled bye another rope system held by two per sons directing her horizontally between the two pillars as she was performing. For the wall section where choreography took place the wall and the platform I used mountain climbing equipments to hang two dancers horizontally in the air, while the partners they were tied to were vertically standing on the floor. This is how I began experimenting the quarted on the wall. During the rehearsals in the Proje4L (Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum), I was suprised to find out that the painting of Vanessa Bird exhibited on the second floor had number of postures I was using in my quarted. So I decided to make another solo containing only the identical postures from my quarted in front of the paintings and used it as an introduction to the project.
