KULA BAZALTLARININ PETROLOJTK EVRİMİ Ahmet Yavuz

Özet (Çeviri)

PETROLOGICAL EVOLUTION OF KULA BASALTS Ahmet YAVUZ Abstract : Basalt, Kula This study has been done to determine penological geochemical propeties of bazaltic rock in the region of Kula. The basic rocks of work site are formed mainly gnays, schist and quartz together with Permo-Triassic old marbles at the top section. Mesozoic units are the melange of old ophiolyte Upper Cretaceous and Jurassic old dolomite limestone. Cenozoic units from the basement to top are Pliocene old river precipitates and andesine lava flows that cover them together with the same aged lake limestone. Quaternary aged Kula basalts are formed in three main stages under the names of Divlittepe, Elekçitepe and Burgaz volcanites. As a result, rocks present changes such as; basalt, basanite, teprite, hawaut and nephelinite. It has been observed during the geochemical analysis studied on 15 samples that rocks are alkaline. Concentrations of REE have been decreased due to the increase of Sİ02. Moreover, LDLE became rich in terms of elements, but HFSE elements show lower values. Elements such as Rb, K, Sr, Hf and Y present consumption relatively. Negative anomaly seen on RB and K may be described by the fractional crystallizing of amphibole minerals. Negative anomaly of Sr cannot be described by plagioclase fraction, as we could not trace consumption of Ba. The Negative anomaly of Sr shows that the magma source is Sr poor. High Nb/Y (>2) Value may be described by the addition of astonospheric source. These values seen on Kula basalts as >3 may be explained that the mantle source may be a rift volcanism sourced by astonospher.
