ÖZET YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZİ KONYA İLİ MERKEZİNDEKİ ORTAÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINDA OKUTULAN SEÇMELİ BİYOLOJİ UYGULAMALARI DERSLERİNDE YAPILAN DENEYSEL ÇALIŞMALARIN ÖĞRENME ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ Safiye OKUR Selçuk Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Biyoloji Eğitimi Bölümü Danışman: Prof. Dr. Tuncer KORKMAZ 2003, 76 Sayla Jüri: Prof.Dr. Tuncer KORKMAZ Prof.Dr. Ahmet AFYON Yrd.Doç.Dr. M.Ali Kaya Bu araştırmada öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşleri alınarak Konya merkez ilçelerindeki resmi ve özel orta öğretim kurumlarında okutulan seçmeli Biyoloji Uygulamaları dersinde yapılan uygulamalı çalışmaların mevcut durumu ve öğrenme üzerindeki etkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Bu okullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin karşılaştığı problemler, okulların uygulamalı çalışmalar için sahip olduğu donanım,öğrencilerin biyoloji uygulamaları dersini seçme nedenlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla öğretmen ve öğrencilere uygulanmak üzere iki anket formu hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan anketler 80 öğretmen ve 466 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Sonuçta özel okullardaki sınıf mevcutlarının, laboratuar mekanlarının ve laboratuar araç gereçlerinin resmi okullara göre daha elverişli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Özel okullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin düz anlatım ve soru cevap yöntemine resmi okullardaki öğretmenlere göre daha çok yer verdikleri saptanmıştır. Resmi okullarda okumakta olan öğrencilerin görsel iletişim araçlarından özel okullara göre yeterince yararlanmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin üniversite sınavlarına hazırlanma ve başarma kaygısı içinde olan öğrencilerin beklentilerine uygun olarak ders işledikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Biyoloji öğretiminin etkili ve verimli olmasını sağlamak, programlarda belirlenen hedefleri gerçekleştirebilmek için yapılan uygulamalı çalışmaların yetersiz kaldığı görülmüştür.

ABSTRACT POST-GRADUATE THESIS EFFECT OF THE EXPERIMENTS KV LEARNING OF BIOLOGY IN THE OPT1NAL BIOLOGY PRACTICAL LESSONS AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN KONYA Safiye OKUR SELÇUK UNIVERSITY SCIENCE INSTITUTE BIOLOGY TEACHING DEPARTMENT Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Tunccr KORKMAZ 2003, 76 Pages Jury: Prof.Dr. Tuncer KORKMAZ Prof.Dr. Ahmet AFYON Yrd.Doç.Dr. M.AHKaya In this research project, by taking the opinions of students and teachers, the present situation of the applied studies in optional Applied Biology courses given is formal and private high schools in central and other districts of Konya and their impact on the success of students were evaluated. For the purpose of the discovering the problems of the teachers of these schools, the upholster that schools have for applied studies and the causes motivate students to choose these courses, two surver forms for students and teachers seperately, were prepared. These forms implemented 80 teachers and 466 students. Finally, it was discovered that the number of students per class, laboratory piaces,and the means and facilities in these laboratories of private schools were more convenient than high schools. It was revealed that the teachers in private schools use the methods of question and answer and simple explanation more than the teachers of state high schools. It was founded that the students of state high schools do not use video media tecniques as sufficiently as private schools. It was concluded teachers generally teach courses according to the expectations and considerations of the students preparing for the university entrance exam (ÖSS or YDS). It was seen that for implementational studies to provide biology education to be efficient and effective and completion of the targets written in the program are inadequate.
