Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin konu ile ilgili bilişsel seviyelerini, yapılarını (constructs) ve çelişen düşüncelerini ortaya çıkarmak için kullanılan repertuar çizelge tekniği, ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmiş ve repertuar çizelge tekniği, matematikteki limit konusunda uygulanmıştır. Bu amaçla repertuar çizelge tekniği ile ilgili değişik kaynaklar taranmış ve bu teknik değişik yönleriyle tanıtılmıştır. Uygulama için ise Gazi Üniversitesi Matematik Eğitimi Anabilimdalı 1. sınıf öğrencilerinden, yapılan bir teste ve vize sınavı sonuçlarına göre 5 öğrenci seçilmiş ve bu 5 öğrenciden 4'ü ile 4 oturumdan oluşan bir çalışma yapılmıştır. İlk ve son oturumlarda, mülakat yöntemi ile öğrencilerin repertuar çizelgeleri çıkarılmıştır. Ara oturumlarda ise öğrencilerin limiti anlayışlarını etkilemek ve değiştirmek için tedavi amaçlı dersler yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile hem öğrencilerin konu imajları ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmış, hem de bu konu imajı değiştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu şekilde repertuar çizelge tekniği kullanılarak öğrencilerin konu imajlarındaki değişimin gerçekleşip gerçekleşmediğine bakılmış ve sonuçta son oturumda çıkarılan repertuar çizelgeleri konu imajındaki değişikliğin gerçekleştiğini göstermiştir. Çizelge analizinin sonuçlarının ve öğrencilerin konu ile ilgili sahip olduğu yapı ilişkilerinin gösterilmesinde hükümlendirmesel bakıştan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda repertuar çizelge metodolojisinin, eğitimde kullanıldığında öğrencilerin konu imajlarını, bilişsel seviyelerini, yapılarını ve çelişen düşüncelerini ortaya çıkarmada başarılı olduğu, ayrıca konunun kritik yönlerinin belirlenmesinde oldukça faydalı olduğu görülmüştür. Buna göre repertuar çizelge tekniği; bize öğrencinin anlaması ve konunun kritik yönleri ile ilgili ayrıntılı bir bilgi vererek, öğrencilerin zihinlerinde oluşan formal olmayan tanımların öğrenciyi yanlış yönlendirmesine ve bunun formal tanımın yanlış öğrenimine yol açmasına engel olmaktadır.

ABSTRACT In this study, repertory grid technique was investigated in detail which is used to bring up the cognitive levels and contradictions of students and it was applied on limit subject in mathematics. First, the technique was introduced to the reader from different aspects. For application, 5 students were chosen from the first year students who attend the department of mathematics at Gazi University according to their exam results and the results of a questionnaire made by the researcher. Four of them participated in the study and the data were collected in four sessions. In the first and last sessions, repertory grids of the students were elicited by analysing the interview transcriptions. During each of the 2 middle sessions, students were presented with a pair of alternative views of the limit concept and they were asked to answer questions from each viewpoint. These middle sessions were lessons for treatment. In these lessons, the researcher tried to change the concept images of the students and found that repertory grids catch the changes on the concept images of students. To show the grid results and students' constructs, the researcher used the predicational view of human thinking. The results of the study revealed that the repertory grid methodology is successful on bringing up the cognitive levels and contradictions of students and we can learn the concept images of students by using this methodology. However, it is very useful to determine the critical points of the subject. It also prevents the undesirable effects of the informal models held by the students.
