SUMMARY The Problem of this study is relationship between the personality characteristics and visual perception processes. In these experiments, our subjects were divided into four different groups according to the M.M.P.I. test of Personality and they were visual test as the size constancy. 48 University students were divided into four groups according to their transformed scores in the M.M.P.I. test of personality. These obtaining clinical scores of 70 or above were called the“high-score group”, subjects with one clinical score of 70 or more, formed the“group of one-high score”. The subjects with clinical scores between 69 and 46 were called“the normals”and these who obtained a score of more below 46 point, formed“the low score group”. The decisions of the size constancy of subjects have been obtained by comparing the four standart stimuli which have been drown on a white cartoon whose diameters were 8 cm^, and sixteen comparison stimuli that have the same content but different dimensions with standart stimulus. In this search was suggested that three general hypothesis and this three hypothesis have nine sub hypothesis. The size constancy of the subjects are solved by the varient analysis and“t”test methods. Results show that the personality factors and distance factors are effective in the size constancy but stimulus content are not.
