ABSTRACT There is enough evidence to say that establishing of“trust”in a society is the fore and foremost factor for societies to reach prosperity and social development. Parallel to this, it is a long and extremely complex process which includes people feeling secure, trusting in other members and lastly, a feeling of self-confidence. It can be said that culture is an outcome of efforts of people that aim to reach a“trust emotion”in the world. Culture provides people with“trust to the others”and“self confidence”by making life clearer and dealing with the uncertainties. Today, Turkey is a country which can not use its potential power. When one thinks about this, no doubt he encounters a cultural problem. Thus, Turkey's social structure seems a long distance from required level. It deals with some unclear enemies as inconsistency, instability, uncertainty and inresoluteness rather than other causes. Given all these circumstances, it is easily emerged from the situation that“trust”is an important problem and the solutions are all cultural like the causes. So the Turkish culture and its effects to the trust must be handled on pave the way to analyze the current phase of social structure and to develop counter measures. Under these circumstances, in this dissertation research two sample groups are selected from two streets of a more western culture-affected town called Beysukent and a less affected and more traditional town called Mamak. The main purpose of this research is confirm that what are those factors that affect the“trust”in this groups on the basis of the different cultural and social structure. Having administered a questionnaire to these sample groups, the outcome data has been evaluated by using T-Test of SPSS computer programme.
