Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışma, Aydın ili, Germencik ilçesi, Ortaklar bucağına bağlı, Tekinköy sınırlan içinde yer alan Magnesia Antik Kenti'nde bulunan Artemis Tapınağı Altarı altyapısı ve çevresiyle ilişkisi konusunu kapsamaktadır. Çalışmanın başında altar tipleri ve Magnesia Artemis Tapınağı Altarı üzerinde daha önce yapılmış çalışma ve sonuçlan hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Ardından altar temel ve çevresi ile kazılar sırasında bulunan altyapıya ait mimari elemanların ayrıntılı bir belgelemesi yapılmıştır. Bunun ardından elde edilen veriler, daha önce konu üzerine yapılmış araştırma sonuçlan ve benzer örneklerle karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmamızın sonucunda Magnesia Artemis Tapınağı Altarı'nın kuzeybatı ve güneybatı köşelerinde birer antaya sahip, ızgara planlı bir altyapıya sahip olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Podyum yüksekliği 2.20 m. olduğu tespit edilen altarının girişinin de bati kenardaki antalar arasında bulunan 10 basamaklı bir merdiven yapıldığı saptanmıştır. Bati cephesinde antaları olan lonik düzende sütunlu-avlulu hipotetik bir üstyapı planı önerilmiştir. Ayrıca altarın bati cephesinde yer alan mermer döşemede 100 adet kurban halkalı bloktan oluşan bir hekatompedosun yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. 181

SUMMARY This dissertation work comprises the sub-structure of Altar of Artemis and its connection with the surrounding structures that is oriented in the ancient city of Magnesia ad Meandrum, at Tekinköy - Ortaklar (Germencik - Aydın). Alter types and history of research, as well as conclusive ideas on the reconstruction of the Altar of Artemis at Magnesia, are presented in the introduction. Proceeding chapter consists of a detailed documentation of the architectural components of the sub-structure that are discovered during excavations, as well as those which belong to the foundation and surroundings of the building. Data compiled is compared with the results of previous research and studies, as well as other resembling examples. In the conclusion of this work, it appeares that the Altar of Artemis Temple is composed of individual elongated chambers and there are antai at the northeast and southeast corners of the structure. The height of the podium is determined to be 2.20 m., whereas the entrance to the altar is likely to contain a ten step staircase. The proposed hypothetic upper structure of the altar is a building with antai on its western facade and has columns-court of Ionic order. In the meantime, at the marble paving oriented at the west side of the altar, a hekatompedos of one hundred blocks with sacrificial rings is determined. 182
