Özet
IV ÖZET Bu araştırmada, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin, uzay ilişkileri yetenek testinden aldıkları puanlar ile birinci yarıyıl sonu desen dersinden aldıkları başarı puanlan arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, öğrenci lerin farklı bölüm ve anasanat dallarında oluşları ve cinsiyetlerinin uzay ilişkileri yetenek testi puanlarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci derecede amacı uzay ilişkileri yetenek testinin, birinci yarıyıl sonu desen dersi başarı notlarına göre yordama geçerliğini bulmaktır. Bu nedenle araştırma verilerinin analizi aşamasında, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bulunan korelasyon katsayılarının sıfırdan anlamlı derecede farklı olup olmadığı ilgili“t”test yöntemi ile test edilmiştir. Veri geldikçe çeşitli gruplar için bulunan korelasyon katsayılarının birbirinden farklı olup olmadığı ilgili“t”test yöntemi ile bulunmuştur. Bu amaçla bulunan korelasyon katsayıları önce Fisher'in“z”fark ilgili T istatistiği ile test edilmiştir. Çeşitli değişkenlerin uzay ilişkileri yetenek test puanları üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak amacıyla çift yönlü varyans analizi uygulanmış ve yeri geldikçe grupların ortalamaları arasındaki farkların önem denetimleri, bağımsız örneklem grupları için kullanılan“t”test yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada hata payı 0.05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Uygulamada kullanılan uzay ilişkileri yetenek testinin güvenirlik katsayısının bulunmasında KR 21 formülünden yararlanılmıştır.Öğrencilerin uzay ilişkileri yetenek testi puanlarının birinci yan yıl sonu desen dersi basan puanlan ile karşılaştırılması ayrı ayrı her bölüm ve anasanat dalı için yapılmış, buna göre; Resim, Heykel Bölümleri, İç Mimari ve Çevre tasarımı, Grafik, Seramik ve Cam Anasanat dallarında öğrencilerin uzay ilişkileri yetenek testi puanlan ile birinci yarıyıl sonu desen dersi basan puanlan arasında anlamlı herhangi bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Ayrıca araştırmanın birinci derecede amacı olmamakla birlikte Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesinin çeşitli bölüm ve anasanat dallarındaki öğrencilerin, uzay ilişkileri yetenek testi puanlan arasında bir farklılık olup olmadığına bakılmış ve yine anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Uzay ilişkileri yetenek testi puanlan cinsiyetler açısından incelendiğinde; erkek öğrencilerin uzay ilişikileri yetenek testinde daha başarılı oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda, ilerde yapılacak araştırmalara ışık tutabileceği düşünülen bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

VI SUMMARY In this study, an inquiry was made into the relationship between the scores attained from the space relations aptitude test and those received by them at the end of their first semester in the subject of design by the freshmen of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The effects of their basic branches of art and their sex on the space relations aptitude test scores was also studied. The sample for the study was comprised of, 64 student, with 30 males and 34 females, belonging to the departments of painting and sculpture of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the sections of graphical arts, interior architecture, landscaping, ceramics and glass under the Department of Applied Arts in 1988-1989 academic year of Hacettepe University. The data composed of the scores attained by the students from the space relations aptitude test as one of the sub-tests of the differential aptitude test and the scores received by the students at the end of the first semester in the subject of design. The primary objective of the study was to determine the predictive validity of the achievement of space relations aptitude test with the scores obtained from subject of desing at the end of the first semester. For this reason, according to the type of problem, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient technique and variance of analysis were used and eventually significance of difference from zero of the correlation coefficient was determined and checked by the relevant“t”test which was also used, whenever appropriate, for ascertaining whether the correlation coefficients of different groups were divergent from each other. For this purpose, the correlation coefficients were first converted into Fisher's“z”statistics and the difference between the two“z”points was tested by the applicable“t”statistics. A two-way Variance of analysis was used to determine the effects of various parameters on the space relations aptitude testvii score and, wherever appropriate, the significance control of the differences between the averages of the groups were made by“t”test used for the independent sampling groups. The degree of sicnificance was accepted as 0.05 in the study. The reliability coefficient of the space relations aptitude test used in the study was confirmed by the KR21 formula. When the space relations aptitude test scores of the students were compared with the scores of the design at the end of the first semester for each department and branch, there could not be found any significant relation between the scores of space relations aptitude tests and those of design attained at the end of the first semester in the painting and sculpture departments and in the branches of interior architecture, landscaping, graphical arts, ceramics and glass. A survey was conducted on the differences between the space relations aptitude test scores of the students in various departments and branches of the Faculty of Fine Arts. No significance of difference was found between these scores. When, however, the space relations aptitude test scores were examined for the two sexes, the male students were found to be more successful in the space relations aptitude test.
