Özet
Bu çalışma küreselleşmenin sosyolojisi üzerinedir. Küreselleşme tek bir mekan olarak bütünleşen bir dünyayı imlemektedir. Batı düşüncesinde önemli bir tartışmanın adı olan bu fenomen sosyolojik açıdan yeni, çağm toplumunu anlamaya çalışan kuramsal tartışmaların ortaya çıkmasını belirlemiştir. Tek ve bütünleşen bir dünyayı niteleyen sosyolojik kuramlar bu çalışmada eleştirel açıdan çözümlenmiştir. Batı sosyolojisi içinde sosyolojinin yeni bir devrinden söz eden ve küresel sosyoloji tartışmaları yanında modernlik üzerine sürdürülen tartışmalanda kapsayan bu çalışmanın temel tezi, küreselleşme üzerine geliştirilen kuramların önemli analitik sorunlar taşıdığıdır.

This issue that on the sociology of globalization. If we lived in a single world society then all talk about globalization would be in the past tense. Instead, globalization is the present process of becoming global: globality itself lies in the future, but the very near future. Each major aspect of social reality (The structure, culture and personality of traditional terminology) is simultaneously undergoing globalization, as witnessed by emergence of a world economy, a cosmopolitan culture and internatioonal social movements. Though these transformations society is displaying its fundamental morphogenetic nature on the largest possible social canvas, the face of the earth. This defining porperty, the distinctive capacity of society to change its outward form and internal organizations, has always defeated attempts to find an adequate analogue for it from within it -in mechanism, in organism, in cybernetics or in languange. Society has to be grasped in itself, and when it changes radically as now, through a myriad of intereaction sequences whose emergent product is globality, sociologists have to respond to the challenge by conceptualising this novel transformation and theorising about it in new ways.
