,^'iV>- OZET \ '¦< i if Dünya mimarlık tarihi incelendiğinde Türk-Osmanlı eserlerinin henüz gerçek değerini bulamadığı görülür. Bunun nedenlerinden biri, Tanzimattan bu yana toplumumuza dayatılan kendi öz değerlerine yabancı batı taklitçiliğidir. Oysa geçmişi olmayan ulusların gelecekleri de olmaz. Toplumu toplum yapan örf, anane ve kültürel değerlerdir. Hiç değilse elde kalan son taşınmaz kültürel değerlerimizin gelecek nesillere iletilmesi için bu eserlere tek yek yaşantı verilebilir. Tarihi kent dokusunun tekrar canlandırılması özgün mimarimizin korunması açısından bir umut ışığı olabilir Bu tezin amacı, zengin taşınmaz kültürel değerlerimize dikkat çekmek, bunların yeni işlevlerle nasıl yaşatılabileceği konusunda ortaya somut bir proje koymaktır. Tez altı ana bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde Türk-Osmanlı eserlerinin yeni işlevlerle nasıl yaşatılabileceği problemi ortaya konmuş, çalışmanın amacı ve yöntemi açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde, mimari mirasın korunması, koruma yollan, korumanın ekonomik boyutu, korunacak değerler, koruma ölçütleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, tarihi yapıların yeniden kullanımı, binaların yemden kullanımını gerektiren nedenler, yeniden kullanıma uygun işlev seçimi, yurt içi ve yurt dışından yemden kullanılan eserlere yer verilip resimlerle tanıtılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde, tarihi Türk-Osmanlı eserleri çadırdan günümüze incelenmiş, Türk evine etki eden etkenler, biçimler yöntemler irdelenmiştir. Beşinci bölümde, Menderes Havzası ve Kuşadası evleri tanıtılmış, geçmişte bir kervansaray bu gün turistik otel olarak işlev gören tarihi“Öküz Mehmet Paşa Kervansarayı”etraflıca tanıtılmıştır. Altıncı bölümde, ortaya somut bir proje konarak Kuşadası Anıt Sokak 72 ada, 19 parseldeki mevcut tescilli E. Derece tarihi eserin yeni işlevlerle yaşatılması; tarihi Kuşadası geleneksel mimarisini geliştirmeyi hedefleyen 50 odalı Apart Otel projesi tanıtılarak tez sonuçlandırılmıştır.

, iff“V H>,,!«.* SUMMARY £?./*»'!/*' x * * When the history of world architecture is examined, it is observed that the Turkish-Ottoman architecture hasn't yet received the attention that it deserves. As a result of the westernization process that the society has been subjectted to since the ”Tanzimat“, revolution the vernecular values have been greatly neglected. It is a fact that the nations without history will have no future. Those are the customs, tradition and as a whole the culture which creates a society. In order to convey the architectural tradition to future generations, the historical buildings that are still standing should be vitalized. The revitahzation of the vernacular urban pattern could be a light of hope for sustaining the authentic architecture. The aim of the present thesis is to underline our rich architectural heritage and to put foward a project on how these values could be adapted to new functions. The study consists of 6 chapters. The first chapter is about the aim and methodology of the research along with the propositions for keeping Turkish- Ottoman buildings alive. Protecting the architectural heritage, ways of protection, the reasons for protection and its economical dimensions are the topics covered in the second chapter. The third chapter deals with the reasons for the reuse of historical buildings and selection of the right function illustrated with the domestic and foreign examples. The fourth chapter explores the Turkish arhitecture from the tent stracture to present, the forms that affected the Turkish house are also investigated. ”Menderes“ river region and traditional Kuşadası houses are presented and historical ”Öküz Mehmet Paşa" caravanserai which now functions as a hotel is thoroughly examined in the fifth chapter. The sixth chapter culminates the whole research in one concrete project that aims to develop a 2nd degree registered historical building in Kuşadası Anıt street, block 72, parcel 19, with new functions. Surrounding the old building a new 50 room Apart Hotel which is desingned in accordance with the traditional Kuşadası architecture is proposed desiaded as a typical example.
