Özet
ÖZET Bilgi teknolojilerindeki hızlı gelişim ve hem ulusal hem de uluslar arası yoğun rekabet koşulları, işletmeleri klasik iş yapış tarzlarından farklı olarak değişik arayışlara itmiştir. Çünkü artık günümüzde doğru bilgiye doğru zamanda ve doğru şekilde ulaşan işletmeler rakiplerinden bir adım öne geçmekte ve rekabet avantajı sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle işletme yöneticileri bilgi sistemlerinin örgütlerin verimliliğini ve etkinliğini artırmada önemli bir faktör olduğunu artık kaçınılmaz bir şekilde farkına varmış bulunmaktadırlar. Günümüzde bilgi sistemleri ve bilgi teknolojileri işletmelerin önemli birer parçası haline gelmiştir. İşletmelerde bilgi sistemleri sayesinde tedarikten müşteri hizmetlerine kadar tam bir entegre teknoloji ile çalışan yeni bir yönetim anlayışı ortaya çıkmıştır. Böylece bilgi sistemlerinin getirdiği esneklik ile işletmeler değişen koşullara daha hızlı cevap verilebilir hale gelmişlerdir... Diğer yandan, günümüzde birçok işletmede bilgi sistem uygulamalarının başarısızlıkla sonuçlandığı görülmektedir. Bunun nedeni, hangi bilgi sistem uygulaması olursa olsun bu sistemlerin seçimi, geliştirilmesi ve uygulanması sürecinde doğru bir metedoloji ve ekip çalışmasının uygulanmamasıdır. Bir bilgi sistem uygulaması seçiminde ayrıntılı bir şekilde ihtiyaç analizi yapılamadan bir sistem kurma yoluna gidilmektedir. İşletmelerde bilgi sistemlerinin başarısı, örgütteki en alttan en üst çalışanına kadar bu tür bir sistemin sağlayacağı faydaları kavramasına ve bunu bir örgüt kültürü haline getirmesine bağlıdır.

ABSTRACT The rapid development in the information technologies and both the national and the international intense competition conditions have driven the enterprises towards different searches apart from their classical performance styles. Since, the enterprises, which access the right information at the right time and in the right way today, are one step forward from their competitions and have advantage in terms of competition. Therefore, the enterprise managers have unavoidably noticed that the information systems are important factors in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of their organizations. Today, the information systems and information technologies have become important parts of the enterprises. Thanks to the information systems, there appeared a new management understanding in the enterprises from the supply to the customer services, operating with a fully integrated technology. Hence, with the elasticity provided by the information systems, the enterprises can respond more rapidly to the changing conditions.... On the other hand, it is seen that the information system applications result unsuccessfully in many enterprises today. This is caused by the failure in applying a right methodology and team work in the selection, development and application processes of these systems, regardless of the chosen information system application. In the selection of an information system application, a system is established without performing a detailed need analysis. In the enterprises, the success of the information systems is dependent on the conception of the benefits provided by such a system by all employees of the organization from the top to the bottom and on converting this into an organization culture.
