ABSTRACT In our doctoral studies we would like to research the Yukari Porsuk Plateau with the help of geographic region method. The place of research is located in Northeast parts of Interior Anatolia region, which serves as a cradle between Interior Anatolia and Aegean region The scene of research is poorly developed this region hasn't been well developed due to the negativeness of region's natural and human specialties. And in our research we will research why these have happened why this region hasn't developed and we will try to put solutions to these problems as much as we can do. It is especially endeavored to research the natural and human specialties of the region within the geographic discipline. As it is known, the more we know the human and natural sources of an environment, the better we will be able to make plans for development of that region. The main aim of this development plan is to use the sources of the region to the highest degree. For that reason the studies, carried out according to the scientific basis, and the determination of the potential sources, affects the not only the rational uses of sources but also the application of these plans. Our research, in which the geographic factors and potential economic sources are investigated, will be beneficial, at least we think that, to development plans to be made.
