Özet
ABSTRACT In this research, the music education problems in the Primary schools of Turkey, have been examined and the contribution of the guitar through the use of guitar accompanied school songs for eliminating these problems have been studied. A repertoire, consisting of thirty school songs on which guitar accompaniments written by researcher, has been prepaired and experimented on the experimental and control groups made up for this purpose during an academical year. It has been observed during the experimental period that the guitar is a very effective accompaniment instrument for giving permanent musical knowledges and introducing multi voiced music which is the base of universal music understanding. Therefore, it can be used as an alternative accompaniment instrument in the absence of piano, considering the existing conditions of music education system in Turkish schools. It is believed that this study will be useful to provide basic ideas about how to write proper guitar accompaniments for school songs to increase the efficiency of the guitar in classes and will be one of the first steps to compensate the shortage of guitar accompanied school song books. Also it is hoped that this research will encourage the composers in Turkey to write guitar accompaniments for school songs. IV

öz Bu araştırmada, ülkemiz okullarının müzik eğitim sorunları ve gitarın, gitar eşlikli okul şarkılarıyla bu sorunları giderme yolundaki kalkılan ele alınmış, bu doğrultuda çeşitli gözlem ve incelemelerde bulunulmuş,müzik öğretmenleri ve öğrencilerin görüşlerine baş vurulmuştur. Sonuçta, üzerlerine gitar eşlikleri yazılmış otuz adet okul sarkışım içeren bir repertuvar oluşturulmuştur. Bu repertuvar vasıtasıyla, gitarın okul müzik eğitimine sağlayacağı katkılar, oluşturulan deney ve kontrol gruplarında bir eğitim ve öğretim yılım içeren bir süreç içerisinde incelenmiş ve gitarın, seslerle kalıcı müziksel bilgiler verme ve çok sesliliği tanıtma yolunda ne kadar etkili olduğu, bu nedenle de piyanonun bulunmadığı dersliklerde alternatif çok sesli bir çalgı olarak müzik dersleri kapsamında değerlendirilebileceği, araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerle doğrulanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın, okul şarkılarına gitar eşlikleri yazarken kullanılması gereken eşlik yöntemleri hakkında bir fikir vermesi ve gitar eşlikli okul şarkılarını içeren kaynak yetersizliğini giderme yolunda ablan ilk adımlardan birisi olması açısından yararlılığına inanılmaktadır.
