ABSTRACT The period of Constitution II was very important in the Ottoman History, since there were several ideas which were discussed some subjects and tried to answer the question of“How did rescue the Ottoman Empire?”. It was seen that the reason of collapse of the Ottoman Empire was the situation of women in the social and economic life of the Ottoman society. The bad situation of woman was discussed by several magazines and newspaper especially, İçtihad and Sebilürreşat. Both of them were very important magazines which reflected to sense of society m that period. Sebilürreşat was islamic Magazine. There were very interesting ideas in this magazine, which had very popular subject about woman in the 1908.lt discussed with İçtihad about women in social life, women in economic life, women in educational life and equality with man, clothing of woman. Sebilürreşat accepted women in bad conditions, but the reason of this did not come from İslam, it come from Muslims. According to Sebillürreşat, women must accept all the İslamics rule, then they reached happiness forever.
