Özet
Tek tipliliğin çoğunluğuna karşı kendi olmanın özgünlüğünü vurgulayan gotik, çağdaş tiyatroda yer bulabilecek bir kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Çağdaş tiyatroda beden ekseninde yeni denemeler yapılması, güzel olandan uzaklaşarak ucubeye doğru evrilmiştir. Bu evrim, derdi anlatım olan tiyatro için yeni biçimsel çalışmaları beraberinde getirmektedir. Yeni arayışların temel nedeni günümüz gerçeğini yansıtmaktır. Ancak yeni gerçeği anlatmak için uygulamadaki üsluplar yetersiz kalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada diğer sanat dallarıyla sınırlandırılan“gotik”kavramı tiyatro bağlamında incelenmiş ve tiyatroda yeni bir sahneleme üslubu oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Gotik-tiyatro bağlamında ortaya çıkan kavramsal çerçeve; güzel, yüce, grotesk ve bu kavramları ortaya çıkaran felsefi düşünceler dolayımında ele alınmıştır. Mimari, heykel, resim, edebiyat ve sinema gotik üslubun araştırıldığı diğer sanat alanlarını oluştururken; tiyatro tasarımında“temel”ve“tamamlayıcı”gösterim ögeleri, gotik üslubun sahneleme tasarımına yansımalarının ele alındığı alanları meydana getirmektedir. Nitel araştırma modelinin kullanıldığı ve tiyatroda gotik üslubun bir sahneleme yaklaşımı olarak ele alındığı bu tez çalışmasında; evreni tüm tiyatro üslupları oluştururken örneklemi“gotik”üslup meydana getirmektedir. Nitel araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında alan yazım taraması yapılmıştır. Bu çerçevede çalışmanın ilk adımını meydana getiren alan yazım taramasında; tiyatroda temel sahneleme üslupları ve gotik üslup ele ele alınmıştır. Nitel verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci adımını meydana getiren bu aşamada; diğer sanat dallarında kullanılan gotik üslup anlayışlarının sahneleme tasarımına yansımaları temel ve tamamlayıcı gösterim ögeleri düzleminde analiz edilmiştir.

Gothic, which emphasizes the originality of being oneself against the majority of uniformity, emerges as a concept that can find a place in contemporary theater. In contemporary theater, new experiments on the axis of the body have evolved away from what is beautiful and towards the monstrous. This evolution brings with it new formal studies for theater, which is concerned with narration. The main reason for new searches is to reflect today's reality. However, the styles in practice are insufficient to narrate the new reality. In this study, the concept of“gothic”, which is limited to other branches of art, has been examined in the context of theater and it is aimed to create a new staging style in theater. The conceptual framework that emerged in the context of Gothic-theater has been addressed through the beautiful, sublime, grotesque and the philosophical thoughts that reveal these concepts. While architecture, sculpture, painting, literature and cinema constitute other art fields in which the Gothic style is researched;“basic”and“supplementary”display elements in theater design constitute the areas in which the reflections of the Gothic style on staging design are addressed. In this seminar study, where the qualitative research model was used and the Gothic style in theater was considered as a staging approach; while the universe was formed by all theater styles, the sample was formed by the“Gothic”style. A field literature review was conducted in the collection of qualitative research data. In this context, the field literature review, which constitutes the first step of the study, addressed the basic staging styles and the Gothic style in theater. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. In this stage, which constitutes the second step of the study; the reflections of the Gothic style understandings used in other branches of art on the staging design were analyzed on the basis of basic and complementary display elements.
