Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, özel öğrenme güçlüğü (ÖÖG) yaşayan öğrencilerde yazma bozukluklarının erken tespitini desteklemek amacıyla geliştirilen“Penna”adlı mobil uygulama ve buna eşlik eden web platformunun tasarım ve geliştirme sürecini ortaya koymak ve sistemin işlevselliğini, pedagojik uygunluğunu ve kullanılabilirliğini uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirmektir. Araştırma, Richey ve Klein (2005) tarafından önerilen ürün odaklı geliştirme araştırması modeli ile Morrison, Ross ve Kemp (2006) öğretim tasarımı süreci çerçevesinde yürütülmüştür. MIT App Inventor ile geliştirilen Penna uygulaması, tamamlama süresi ve hata sıklığı gibi yazma performansı göstergelerini kaydetmekte; web platformu ise öğrenci performansının izlenmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Veriler, İstanbul'da üç özel eğitim okulunda görev yapan sekiz öğretmenden, uygulama tanıtımı ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan anket aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Nitel veriler, Braun ve Clarke (2006) tematik analiz yöntemi ile Teknoloji Kabul Modeli (Davis, 1989) çerçevesinde analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, uygulamanın öğretmen gözlemlerini nesnel verilere dönüştürmede etkili olduğunu göstermekte; hata sınıflandırma, norm tabanlı karşılaştırma ve öğretmen destek modülleri gibi geliştirme ihtiyaçlarına işaret etmektedir. Bu çalışma, mevcut araştırmalardan farklı olarak Türkiye özel eğitim bağlamına özgü, veri temelli ve pratik bir erken tanı sistemi sunması açısından özgünlük taşımakta ve özel eğitimde teknoloji temelli değerlendirme araçlarının kullanımına katkı sağlamaktadır.

This study aims to present the design and development of a mobile application,“Penna,”and its accompanying web platform, developed to support the early detection of writing disorders in students with specific learning disabilities (SLD), and to evaluate its functionality, pedagogical suitability, and usability through expert opinions. The study was conducted within the framework of the product-oriented developmental research model of Richey and Klein (2005) and the instructional design process of Morrison, Ross, and Kemp (2006). The Penna application, developed using MIT App Inventor, records key writing performance indicators such as completion time and error frequency, while the web platform enables multi-user access for monitoring student performance. Data were collected from eight special education teachers in three schools in Istanbul through demonstration sessions and an open-ended questionnaire. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006) within the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (Davis, 1989). Findings indicate that the application is effective in transforming subjective teacher observations into objective data, while also revealing the need for further development in areas such as error classification, norm-based benchmarking, and teacher support modules. Unlike existing studies, this research offers a practical and data-driven mobile system specifically designed for the early detection of writing disorders within the Turkish special education context, thereby contributing to the integration of technology-based assessment tools in special education.
