BEDEN VE MEKAN BAUHAUS TİYATRO ÇALIŞMALARININ MİMARLIK EĞİTİMİ AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ ÖZET Bu çalışmada, kökleri eskilere giden işlevselcilik düşüncesinin ve yoğun plastik sanatlar eğitiminin dışında, Bauhaus okulunda tiyatro çalışmalarının yoğun bir yer tutmasından yola çıkılarak, Bauhaus tiyatrosuna ilişkin yazılı ve görsel verileri değerlendirilmiş, sözkonusu okulda tiyatro çalışmalarının nasıl bir işlev taşıdığının irdelenmiştir. Bir mimarlık okulu olarak kurulan Bauhaus'ta görev alan bir çok eğitmen tiyatro ve tiyatro binasının, gelişen dünyanın sundukları ile insanoğlunu etkilemede, onunla iletişim kurmada yeni ve önemli bir yeri olacağı düşüncesi ile farklı yöntemler kullanarak tiyatro ile ilgili sorunlarla ilgilenmişlerdir. Oskar Schlemmer tarafından yürütülen tiyatro atölyesi, kostüm, maske ve koreograf! tasarımına ilişkin ürünlerin ötesinde, bedenin mekan içindeki devinimini esas alan ve hem ampirik, hem de deneyimsel algıyı hesaba katarak, mekan duyarlılığını oluşturmaya çalışan bir işlev taşırlar. Modern mimarlık eğitiminde günümüze kadar süren yoğun izler bırakmış olan Bauhaus modelinde tiyatro çalışmalarının taşıdığı önem, özellikle Türkiye'de yeterince göz önünde bulundurulmamıştır. Ancak gerek tasarımda, gerekse mimarlık eğitiminde bedensel duyarlılığın giderek daha fazla gündeme geldiği günümüzde Bauhaus deneyinin tekrar gözden geçirilmesi, her iki alanda da yeni açılımlar getirmeye adaydır. Çünkü tıpkı“Bau”(yapının) konseptinde olduğu gibi sahnede de, birçok kuvvetin bir arada çalıştığı orkestral bir bütünlük kurmak gerekir. Tiyatro sahnesinde sanal bir dünya inşaa edilir. Elde edilen bilgiler ışığında, Bauhaus tiyatro atölyesinde gerçekleştirilmiş olan deneysel çalışmaların, günümüz mimarlık eğitimine yönelen öneriler geliştinilmesinde etkin rol oynayabileceği anlaşılmıştır. vı

BODY AND SPACE EVALUATION OF THE BAUHAUS THEATER WORKSHOP IN TERMS OF ARCHITECTURAL EDUCATION SUMMARY In this study, with the knowledge that besides having the intense fine art education and the functionalistic ideas, The Bauhaus school, which has been established as a school of architecture, has given great weight to the theatrical studies, the visual and the printed materials relating to the so called school's theater works, in order to understand the function of these studies has been revaluated. Most of the teachers at the Bauhaus, believeing that theater could be the new instrument in means of comunicating with the spectator of the developing world, in differentiating ways and technics has delt with the problems of theatrical works and the theater building. The theater workshop under the instruction of Oskar Schlemmer has a far more important function than just producing examples of costumes, masks and choreografies. Considering both the amprical and the experimental perception, the theater workshop aims to create the sense of space by thoroughly examining the body movements in space. The Bauhaus experience is to open up new horizons in architectural education. For like the concept of the“Bau”(buildig) itself, the stage is an orcestral complex, which comes about only through the cooperation of many different forces, as being the union of the most heterogeneous assortment of creative elements. In the light of the information gathered in this study, it is understood that, the Bauhaus theater workshop is to offer many suggestions, in order to improve todays architectural education. VII
