Tlte topic of the dissertation is the position of the EM-i Kitab -The people of the hook- (The Jewish, The Christians and the Sahiians) according to the Qur'an. We know that the prophet brought the last message to all humanity. Among the addressee of this message are the member ofEhl-i Kitab. The Qur'an mentions that the prophet is sent to all human beings. The prophet himself emphasized this many tunes. Even though the people of the book has their own scripture, the Qur'an explains the reasons why a new book and a prophet were sent to them. The Qur'an also mentions that some ill-intentioned religious scholars had changed this scripture and destroyed its originality. The people of the book were expecting the last prophet before the prophet Muhammed is being sent This truth was also written in their books. Particularly jews got angry and rejected an Arap Prophet who they were expecting among themselves. Therefore they preferred the disbelief due to their racist sentiments. We know mat when the people of the Book follow their scripture closely, they will never accept the unity of God, not to mention pleasing Almighty. In our study we investigated the beliefs of the people of the hook and compared them to that of Islam. Consequently, we proved that the beliefs of these people were mistaken from the beginning we brought to light the sections that could not have been revealed by Allah in their books. Then, we explained the reasons why Allah sent a new prophet with a new scripture. We proved that all people must believe in the prophet and in the Qur'an whose protection is undertaken by God It is not possible to be a good believer the way Allah Wants, with the distorted, changed and added scriptures. On die other hand we say that their books are different between each other. But Qur'an is unique book and nobody can change it Because Allah saved it from being changed. In this dissertation I research the up mentioned points and I draw the proves to defense my ideas.
