Kara, Cahid, The Tribe of Kalb before the Period of İslam until the Fall of Umeyye, Master Thesis, Adviser : Pro& Dr. İrfan Aycan, VI-124p I wish to complain in our thesis abourthe tribe of Kallrb. Wabara that - before the period of İslam until the fall of Umeyye. Without a daubt the tribe of Kalb is one of the very important role tribes that in the stage history and politics of İslam, especially in the time of Umeyye. The begin of the first relationships of Umeyye between Kalb with family relations started in the time of Caliphate Osman. Kalb had very important positions in the palace and the army of Syria while Muaviya govern and caliphate in the area of Damascus. Muaviya had marriad with Bahdal's daughter Meysun from Kalb b. Wabara and he had succeed own to the throne her son Yezid. Muaviya thus had Yezid's political power supported to prop of the Kalb. Without a daubt this position was meaning that both of the parts reciprocal the permanent of the political influence. The tribe battles of between Kalb and Kays had appeared after Merc- Rahit war that is second Cemel for Muslim society and second Siffm for Umeyye. These tribe battles are one of the causes that are Umeyye's fall preparation. Because, Muslim society was parted the two block that Adnânî and Kahtânî. This after couldn't had done a absolute peace in Muslim society. Kalb had done important functions in the suppressed of internal rebellions in Abdülmelik's time. However Kalb had battled with the religious and political opposition party against Muhammed's son Mervan who had power with Kay's support. Kalb have losed importance in the history stage of İslam that after Mervan's defeat the army of Abbasî.
