Özet
Tezin temel konusu, Cizvitlerin Katolik Kilisesi' ndeki yeri, özellikle onların II. Vatikan Konsili'ne ve Kilise 'nin, Konsil sonrası yeni misyon anlayışına katkılarıdır. Tezin Giriş kısmında; Hıristiyanlıkta dini tarikat anlayışı ve gelişim süreci ortaya konulmuş, Batı Hıristiyanlığı 'nın ve Karşı-Reform'un temsilcisi olan dini tarikatlar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Özellikle, aynı geleneğin temsilcileri olan Dominikenler, Fransiskenler ve Cizvitlerin en temel özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Birinci Bölüm' de; Cizvitler, dini ve organize bir cemaat olarak ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde, önce, İsa Cemaati' nin kuruluşuna temas edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, cemaatin hiyerarşik ve idari yapısı, tarikata üyelik usulleri, ruhani ve mistik yaklaşımları, itaat anlayışı, eğitim sistemleri ve onların felsefi, teolojik ve ahlak görüşleri ortaya konulmuştur. İkinci Bölüm' de; Cizvitlerin II. Vatikan Konsili'nin getirdiği yeni teolojik ve kilisebilimsel fikirlere katkısı ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Cizvitlerin Konsil öncesi gelişmelerdeki rolüne, özellikle onların modernizme yaklaşımlarına ve yeni teoloji hareketindeki yerlerine temas edilmiştir. Daa sonra Cizvitlerin Konsil' e; Kilise'yi sosyal bir yapı olarak yeniden tanımlamak için yeni kavramlar kullanmada, Hıristiyan olmayanlara yeni yaklaşımda ve Kilise'nin yeni misyon anlayışındaki rolü ortaya konulmuştur. Üçüncü Bölüm' de; Cizvitlerin Konsil sonrası dönemde Katolik Kilisesi' nin yeni misyon anlayışına katkıları ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde,, Katolik Kilisesi' nin yeni misyonunda önemli yeri olan Sosyal Adalet, İnkültürasyon ve Dinlerarası Diyalog projeleri ortaya konulmuştur. Daha sonra, Cizvitlerin bu projelerdeki rolü ve katkısı ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Cizvit ilahiyatçıların, Kilise'nin yeni misyon metodlannın vasıtaları olması bakımından adı geçen uygulamalar hakkındaki düşüncelerine yer verilmiştir. Sonuç kısmında, Cizvitlerin dini bir cemaat olarak, Katolik Kilisesi 'nin 20. yüzyılda, modern dünyadaki yeni misyon anlayışının ortaya konulmasında önemli bir rol oynadıklarına dair tesbitler özetlenmiştir.

This diesis investigates the role of the Jesuits in the Catholic Church, particularly their contribution to the Second Vatican Council and to the Chuck's new mission understanding following the Council It is composed of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction explains ike concept of religious order in Christianity, and gives information about the development process of this understanding, about the new understanding of order in Latin Christianity, and about the orders which are agents of Counter-Reformation, h particularly exposes the main characteristics of the Dominicans, the Fransiscam and the Jesuits as representatives of the same tradition. The first chapter studies the Jesuits m a religious society and an organization, h first focuses on the founding of the Society of Jesus. It then examines the hierarchical and administrative structure of "the Society, its system of membership, spiritual and mystical ideas, concept of ob^ educational system, and finally its philosophical, theological and ethical considerations. The second chapter examines the contribution of the Jesuits to the recent theological and ecclesiological ideas of tine Second Vatican Council It first investigates the role of the Jesuits in the developments preceding the Council, especially by focusing on their approach to modernism and their place in the new theology movement It then examines the role of the Jesuits in the Council; particularly their role in employing the new concepts to redescribe the Church m a social structure, in developing a new approach to non-Christians, and in the new mission understanding of the Church. The third chapter studies tine contribution of tite Jesuits to the new mission understanding of the Catholic Church after tine Council. It examines the places of the projects of Social Justice, Incuhuration, and htterrehgious Dialogue in the (Jatholic Church's new mission. And then, ü deals with the role of tine Jesuits in these projects and their contrubutions to it In this context, it analyzes tine ideas of the Jesuit theologians about tine aforementioned projects as means of the new mission methods of the Church. The conclusion shows that the Jesuits as a retigiom order have played a considerable rcie in producing tine new mission understanding of tine Catholic Church in tine modern world of tine twentieth century.
